I've installed in on my HTC One X+ and it's working fine. :woot:

When the app first came out I installed from the apk file and it wouldn't let the phone sleep/screen off after the set time. Phone sleeps happily now.

I'm not connected to my home network so I'll have test the streaming later.

You don't have to be on your home network for streaming. Surely that would defeat the purpose of Away mode?

You do have to be on a wifi network though.

So it is restricted to wifi? Why do companies do that? If people have a fast mobile connection and the data allowance needed then it should not matter.

Content providers count WiFi streaming and Mobile streaming as two different things, and want separate contracts for both.

Didn't realize the tab 3 had been added, I installed the .apk when the android version was released has always worked to manage my TiVo but not to stream.

So does this latest news mean we will be able to watch Sky Sports and Movies via the ipad Virgin Anywhere app? Fantastic news if that's the case :)

That is certainly the implication, presumeably alongside the other Sky channels (excluding Atlantic).

Well i hope the people who want it can get it over a data connection as well as wi-fi.

The current offering of wi-fi only is pretty poor.

I know its an old post here but its app relevant.

Will there ever be a point when virgin add more users to the anywhere app/sky.
I get the sky part might be unlikely, but maybe he tv anywhere side may be easier?
Two isn't enough, surely 4 is a good amount, i.e. the whole family being able to use it?

Sky have SKYGO Xtra, which has four devices!!

I have to agree two devices is rather mean there are four of us here. Hopefully VM will look at this. Netflix and flixster also allow you numerous devices.
