Things are coming together for BT. They seem to be cherry picking channels, picking the best and leaving the rest. I can see BT offering a fairly solid TV service come July, but for cheaper than both SKY and Virgin.

Exciting times in the UK TV market.

It will be interesting to see how they deal with Sky's negotiaters though.

This is the news that l have been waiting for, What it means is that prices WILL have to decrease, as BTVision will knock VM and Sky for six.

BT Vision will be making offers to attract the viewers which is only good for the viewer.

My only problem with BT is that the phone charges are high, compared to VM.

Very good news.

There is absolutely zero chances of any price decreases Arthur and that applies to all these companies.:nono:

The idea that they cherry pick yet charge the same seems to run against every thing that is posted here. Ie the we want more channels brigade. Less "junk" channels ( that is wide open to choice is it not) at a lower price . PICK & MIX please . I might well sign up. Before you say Den not a hope of that!
A package with NO sport or music. Would ring my bell.

So are they getting comedy central suite of channels, or just the main one?

But unlike VM, BT have some desireable content to bargain with.

Very true PB but whether it does them any good in talks with Sky is another matter in itself.

It will be interesting. I'm waiting to see who, if anyone, is able to get SKY to release their grip on SKY Atlantic first.

There were unsubstantiated rumours that it will arrive in the next couple of months but alas nothing has come of it so far.

All very well in theory Colin but one suspects it won't work like that though knowing Sky's known history in negotiations with other providers.

Keep (Well now & then) looking at what is on Sky Atlantic. Sorry do not see what the fuss is about. Perhaps its more about "I want, what I cant have" syndrome . What do you do now that you would give up to watch the extra hours of TV if you had it ?
As for B T Again do not see what it is likely to offer that would make me switch . How ever never say never - to them or in fact Sky . Just unlikely in the next year or so
