Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
In what way is it in a dire state still Chrys?
|
Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
oversubscribed to point its not useable?
you seem to change your mind a lot, before you thought was bad was still stuck on qpsk and commented that more than once, but now you think its ok again? |
Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
I didn't make any judgement I merely asked for clarification as the two run on exactly the same network right up to the FPM and RPM at the hub site.
Could be running QPSK as on oversight or may be other reasons. |
Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
activated now on this and they left superhub mac on for me also so I can switch back without a phonecall.

Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
Sorry to bring up this thread but it looks look Montfort is getting FTTC by 2012 !

Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
Yes but "by the end of 2012" so probably Jun 2013!
Fingers crossed that our cabs get upgraded though! |
Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
leics central is getting also.
and its by end of 2012 so could be a year away, and also could be delays as seems common. But its great news we both finally now got in the planning stage. As VM now is back to how it was early in the year, congestion 24/7 with it extreme at evenings and weekends. |
Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
Only 3 years late eh!
|
Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
Checking the exchanges in that ISPreview link shows that my local exchange was originally planned for December 2011 in the September 2010 list. It's now showing as December 2012. Looks like VM don't have a monopoly on project slippages.

Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
anyone in LE3 area seen any openreach work been done yet? It be interesting as usually seeing BT vans around here is very rare, they more concetrated in the shorter line areas.
|
Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
Best look out for markings on pavements near cabs.
Most of the civils will be done by subbies so no BT involvement until intergration. I wouldnt expect anything until late summer at the earliest though! |
Re: Terrible performance Leicester (LE3)
I agree it wont be within next few months as otherwise the exchange would be coming soon status which it isnt.
since my cab isnt too far away I can keep an eye on it and report any changes, |
