There is a lot more overtaking and it`s just generally more exciting as a whole package. Why can they get it right whereas Formula 1 chops and changes all the time with the promise of improved action which never comes to fruition.

At the moment the most iconic motorsport brand is being turned into an egomaniacs farce! :td:

An Indycar is less techneically advanced which helps a lot plus it is a one make series. They have less overall downforce but they also have ground effects they get get sucked to the road and don't have to rely so much on the wings

Mansell Honda williams could wheelspin in all 6 gears.

The main problem, is the cash restrictions that are imposed on the teams.

Hom3r,
wasn't mansells last car the FW14 one of the most technologically advanced cars in the world at the time and in some ways more advanced than the F1 cars of today?

but something needs to be done i think they should do away with telemitry?? not sure on the spelling, and alot of the driver aids semi auto gearboxes can be left as far as i'm concerned as i don't think they give a massive edge and all of them have them.
F1 is all about being the most advanced sport in the world but if it takes away the enjoyment from it then whats the point bring back the day of senna, prost, mansell even my fav Nikolaus Lauda (only cos i've met him!!)
those where the days of real racing drivers

put more tyre changes in preferably bring back refuelling ( yes i know they designed these cars to go the distance )

standardise the rear wing ( that is give them all the same one ) maybe front one too

anything that makes it more interesting than this

will watch the next one to see if it is any better but if it isnt i might be going out on sundays and finding something more interesting instead ;)

The first race tends to be a bit of a quiet one. The teams are effectively still testing and don't want to take too many risks at the start of the season. I do hope that the rest of the season improves.

OMG... Bernie talking sense????

“I had a meeting with the teams and tried to explain to them what our business is about — racing and entertaining the public, not about playing with computers and going fast over one lap. The problem is that you cannot really have teams in any shape or form having a part in the sporting or technical regulations. You cannot have the inmates writing the regulations.”
