From the above link...
Quote:

He deliberately injured Manchester City's Alf Inge Haaland with a vicious tackle and wrote in his book: "I'd waited long enough. I hit him hard. The ball was there (I think)."

Haaland's career was ended by the tackle.

It followed a previous match when Keane was injured and Haaland accused him of play acting.
No it wasn't.
Keane's tackle injured Haaland's right leg, Haaland has admited himself that it was problems with his left leg that caused his retirement.

I have to agree, Dave Mackay is the only one on that list who was really HARD, but unlike most of the others, he was never dirty. And my vote for the dirtiest player of the past 30 years would go to Souness, a real coward who used to go into a fracas on the blind side to kick people.

Leics finally have the much needed 4th striker having taken on Elvis Hammond from fulham on a 5month loan, the striker has only scored 1 Goal in a senior game in his career but his career has been mainly reserve games where he has been a prolific scorer, quite a gamble but creates competition for places up front.

Well...seeing as certain Arse fans are unsurprisingly nowhere to be found, I'll be the one to say it:

Didn't they get their Arsenal spanked today?

Arsenal's new Emirates stadium is starting to look impressive I must say.

Man Utd and Toon ask about Owen

It's official: Real Madrid confirm that Man United have made calls asking about Michael Owen, though unfortunately for him, it's Newcastle who have showed the most "concrete interest". Owen himself says that's "mentally" prepared to stay at Real.

Kleberson makes Besiktas move

Manchester United misfit Kleberson has completed a £2.5mil lion move to Besiktas after passing a medical with the Turkish club.

The Brazilian World Cup winner was raised shoulder-high by supporters on his arrival in Istanbul on Sunday and quickly agreed personal terms to end his Old Trafford nightmare.

Man Utd Deny Owen Contact

Ten minutes after Real Madrid claimed that Man United and Newcastle had both been on the blower about Michael Owen, an OT spokesman has insisted that they've done no such thing. So does that mean only the Toon are actually interested? Oh dear...

finally.. lets hope we can get back to playing football and winning our trophy back

one thing i've noticed about Rio though is that when he needs to get stick in and use his head in corners etc when players boots are flying about he never does.. he always uses his feet up high instead
