Dab on anti flea solution for the 2 cats. Funnily its not for the fleas but for the dust mites which our black one is allergic to so he was pulling all his fur out in the winter and looking very scraggy. The vet recommended it and since he's been given it his fur is now back to normal.

Just double checked SnooopZ and the bundle came with 12 month EA Access.
Yesterday I also bought him x box gold membership along with the games, but just the 3 month one as the old purse suddenly seemed a lot lighter and I just thought when it runs out in March then I will purchase the 12 month membership then.

The missus wanted a 3-bird roast for Xmas, but when I saw the state of them I just bought a turkey breast and some bacon for half the price and an unsmoked gammon for the rest of the money.

I noticed loads of people snapping-up prepacks of carrots, parsnips, sprouts and spuds which were all less than half those prices when bought loose.

No brainer really, for a lot of people cooking a Christmas dinner is a stressful experience. If you can simplify it and reduce the stress and spend more time with your guests or family then the extra money it costs may well be worth it considering the amount of time and/or stress saved.

Christmas day, do you really want to be battoning carrots ?

I treated myself to a Samsung 55" Smart TV UE55JS8500 TXXU and a Soundbar HWJ355 XU so a Merry Xmas to me :)

TV is superb but soundbar is a bit Meh.. Having no OSD and a rediculously small and, for me, unreadable display makes it problematical to change settings via the remote without having to get up close enough to read the display. :(

Maybe I should have looked at the 55" curved soundbar but at £700 I didn't and won't even consider it.

I'd clocked up 9000 miles running and cycling with the last one so feel like I've got my moneys worth out of it. Plus my plans for the next few years mean the battery life in it wouldn't last the distance.

Its amazing how vinyl has made such a great comeback in the past couple of years as there are still quite a few people out there who like the physical copy rather then a digital download.

It's not just the physical copy, CD's are limited to 16 bit resolution and 44KHz sampling. Vinyl far exceeds this dynamic range so although there's more background noise the fidelity is IMHO better. MP3's are a very poor relation especially if the sampling rate is low.

It is also the case that many artists want the vinyl sound as part of the experience for the listener.

A cast booklet for the lion king musical at the Lyceum in London. Just watched my first ever musical. Being a big security dude and musicals being way beneath my ego of course, I went in with the eager missus thinking I was in for a dire 2 hours. I don't care now though, absolutely brilliant, my first ever musical and it was truly magnificent. Excellent show, would recommend it to anyone.

TL:DR - Lion king theatre tickets and programmes. Brilliant way to round off my short escape from work to London.

Few bits and pieces from Hamleys. Magical pens etc for little ones back up north. Big Ben Pandora charm for the missus and general souvenirs.

4 candlesticks (2 single stem and 2 Night stick holders ... think Wee Willie Winky) and a couple of large shell walking stick holders, one of which holds my ceramic poppies. I also have several ashtrays and assorted serviette rings.

The irony of my collecting Trench Art is that I HATE cleaning brass and they look nothing if they aren't all shiny. :(

Just ordered a Harver water softener. Not cheap but looking forward to not needing to chew water.

Watch out for British Gas quotes - they had a Kinetico Sumo for £800 installed - great price but Kinetico don't make the Sumo and it's a single tank model not like the Kinetico or Harvey dual tanks.

I got a set of those a week or two ago. I used a Dettol one before but tried a cheap on from Home Bargains this time.

My washing machine has an Auto-Clean function and it's quite fun to see how much fizz comes up when it cleans itself. The cheap one done the job just as well and per use came out at 4x cheaper.
