He wouldn't have taken that extra touch otherwise.

King Kenny has come up trumps with Carroll, he can't even dive properly :)

Rant........Anyone who does dive to gain an advantage, should be sent off, and banned for five games outright for bringing the game into disrepute. And that is any player from any team ! Plus have their wages halved for the time of the ban, maybe then they might think twice about diving.

Rant over.

this is the bigger picture. Players already have it in their minds to dive and "win" a penalty of free kick. Their first thought should be to score a goal in open play.

Kenny is going from King to Court Jester following his backing for players. First Suarez, after Handshakegate and now Caroll. I think Perch went down way too easily, I don;t really like seeing any player do that when they've hardly been touched. But I really dislike Reina and could not help but chuckle as he was going off.

On a different subject, Torres had another good game. Couple of assists and a great finish for his goal!

One things for sure... this coming summer transfer window is going to be extremely active, even City will make movements regardless whether or not Mancini gets sacked. Teams over in continental Europe are looking to make movements too.

This guy Javier Perez > https://twitter.com/#!/JavierPerez108 has only just come to most Gooners attention recently, I have no idea how reliable he is. I guess we'll see this summer with him adamant Arsenal have wrapped up a few signings and in for others.

Hes got articles on transfer speculation on other clubs too > http://pasiondemultitudes.weebly.com/english.html

M'Vila has pretty much said he'd opt for Arsenal over others...

I really want M'Vila. Especially since Song and decided he doesn't want to play the defensive midfielder role anymore. I have cooled on the idea of an attacking midfielder as we probably have enough, especially if Walcott stays.

we could possibly see something like this next season...

Szczesny, Fabianski? may be a new keeper*

Sagna, Jenkinson
Vermaelen, Koscielny, Vertonghen*, Mertesacker, Djourou? I'm not sure
Gibbs, Santos (not too sure about Santos, Vertonghen could be slotted in at left back Gibbs as backup)

M'Vila*, Frimpong, Coquelin
Song, Arteta, Ramsay
Wilshere, Rosicky, Holtby*

Gervinho, Podolski*
Van Persie, Matty Suarez* or Giroud*
Walcott, Ox

Then theres Bartley, Lansbury, Ryo, Campbell. Miquel will surely be loaned.

Also to diminish neglect; Hoilett on a free. Gourcuff on the cheap.

Theres a lot of talent that will be up for grabs. Wengers spoilt for choice really. I've got confidence out going transfer will be done and dusted to free up funds.

We'll have to see. All just rumours and speculation at the moment. Vertonghen might make too many center backs...

A police investigation has begun after another Premier League footballer was allegedly racially abused on Twitter. Officers were contacted when Newcastle United's James Perch was targeted on Sunday after a clash with the Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina ended with the Spaniard receiving a red card during his side's 2-0 loss.

A Twitter user, believed to be a 17-year-old Liverpool fan who works at a supermarket, tweeted: I can't post anymore of whats be written, open the link below

Re: Football Season 2011/12

probably.

@ Adz, would you welcome Yoann Gourcuff at Newcastle? His situation has got me wondering and I'm not entirely sure Wenger will move for him, I hope he does. Pardew on the other hand has got his eye on the French league and must know of Gourcuffs situation, if things could get agreed and say Arsenal don't go for him I could see him in a Newcastle shirt next season. Quality player that needs a bit of guidance, its got Wenger signing all over it but I don't know if Wenger will opt on bringing in extra heads which he should be doing... it could be a chance for Newcastle to pounce.

QPR ask for help identifying coin-thrower at Arsenal match

QPR today appealed to fans to help them identify the spectator who threw a coin at assistant referee Stuart Burt during their Barclays Premier League win over Arsenal.

theres no need for this sort of extreme insanity.

In February 2009, Aston Villa fan John Billington, who threw a 50p piece at a referee's assistant, got a five-year football banning order and was fined £2,300.
