How will that work? Will it be recording in the cloud?

I assume so. They'll probably offer different recording limits for an extra couple of pounds or so. I think they will be making some big changes soon

That's certainly the way to go, but hopefully the recent ECJ judgement doesn't hamper this idea unduly.

The restriction that concerns me is the time limit. Unless you can access your 'recordings' for at leat 12 months after setting them (18 months would be preferable) then I would still need to record to my box.

They'll only be available for 30 days based on the information I've seen

Well, that's rubbish, and no use at all to me! Why do they have to put in place such petty restrictions? I never rely on the i-Player to watch stuff later for this very reason - I'd end up missing so much by not being able to watch it before the 30 days are up.

At least a year would be acceptable, but 18 months would be spot on.

Also heard they're going to launch their own ppv movie and tv service next year i'm wondering if they'll team up with Wuaki or someone similar for this.

Sounds more like VOD (along with its usual restrictions) to me than having the ability to record.

With the cloud, you're not actually recording, you are bookmarking.

As mentioned by The One got an email from Tvplayer about the British wrestling PPV. £9.95 is pretty steep for 1 event when you consider what you get from the West Network

BoxNation are embracing social media streaming. They have recently started streaming Bunces Boxing Hour live every Friday night via their Facebook page. On the 13th of December they are streaming the world title fight between Horn and Corcaran on Facebook from Australia from 11:30am. They've also agreed a deal for next weeks double world title show, featuring James DeGale and Lee Selby, to be streamed for free in North America by Showtime via their Facebook and YouTube channels. Interesting time for boxing.

Still can't see the hold up of launching all these apps on the new tivo. Can't be cost. Surely companies are desperate to get their apps on the tivo!

And some saw it as a cert that it would arrive when quite clearly it is not going to arrive.

Maybe not yet, Den, you can't say it won't ever arrive!
