Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Probably a bit off topic for this thread, but what router do you have?

ASUS RT-N66U sorry for posting in this topic

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
In the 172.18 case, are you using a VPN connection?
|
Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
No.

Anyway, 172.x.x.x is an internal IP like 192.x.x.x so it's a bit odd that it has suddenly changed. |
Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
How do i get it back to 192.168.1.1 ? Ty :)

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Possibly a stupid question, but when you log into your router, what is the router's IP set to?
|
Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Martin needs to go to 172.18.200.1 and see if that logs him into the router.
If not, then 192.168.1.1 gets him in and the plot thickens. The system log cold be examined - towards the extreme right hand side of the page to see if there is a change of IP address in any of the service requests. ---------- Post added at 14:31 ---------- Previous post was at 14:30 ---------- Quote:

Ok, so go to the LAN category on the left and what do you see?

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
I wonder if the ASus defaults to a 172 if it detects a conflict on the 192.168.1.1 address or something? Just a guess, I have no idea how that could have happened either.
