Some people like to get in the last word. I'm making sure it doesn't happen.

This raises an interesting point to me. Unless either OB or Punky emailed a mod, can a discussion like this be closed down. And under the new points system would we get 'reprimanded' in such a case.
I am assuming neither pmed a mod and dealt with the responses as reasonable adults. isnt this a case of OTT big brother?

This is off topic but in order to explain....

This thread would only be closed if one of the team felt it was getting out of hand and nobody was listening to repeated warnings. The only other time it would be closed is if the original poster requested it. If either of those two contacted the team and request it be closed of the basis of their spat, their request would almost certainly be turned down flat as it's not a good enough reason.

And throughout today I have seen nothing in this thread which would make me come anywhere near deciding to issue warning points.

Back on topic now plz.

Just to be clear, I wasn't talking about the entire thread, but the discussion between OB and Punky. (which was a bit of a tangent to what was being discussed re Wayne Rooney)

It wasn't a tangent. I was saying Rooney's behavior was not acceptable. Millions of people, especially children aspire to copy him. He is setting an example that violence is acceptable. Those following him will now use violence, thinking its acceptable. Well, that is just breeding a whole new generation of thugs. I don't think that is acceptable.

Wasn't this whole thing over 5 grand a week, nah alright mate your not greedy, when you earn 55 grand a week what difference does five more make, not that it should bother Arsenal fans I actually think they got the better deal.
