I think with the Church it has to have something to do with the scale of the organisation, and also the fact that you are going to be accusing a body of moral, spiritual ethics as such. Jimmy Saville was one person. WOuld he heve yielded so much power to stop people speaking out about him.

Jimmy Savile was also a national treasure. He also used his work for charity to stop newspapers printing allegations, and we can only guess as to what injunctions may have been out there.

I think that this shocking case, will bring some daunting and sick information about offenders revolving round Saville.

If Gary Glitter was involved - like it looks and some paper have stated that it involves a famous soap star and a DJ, it just makes you wonder how big this story will be.

But, the victims which have been in the media, just proves how sacred they have been by waiting this long and heads should role.

I don't think they where friends ,in her own words she found him creepy .For years she has put herself in the position as the person to champion the children who where scared or nobody would listen to ,it was her job to act on those rumors that she freely admits where abundant

The guy who bought Jimmy Savile's roller for £160,000 and paid a further £8,000 for a service and change the brakes is quite gutted at the revelations as he had bought the Rolls-Royce for weddings and children's parties :shocked:

He now reckons the car is worth less than £70,000 and the number plate JS 247 is now worthless as it belonged to an alleged child abuser and pervert.

If his activities were so prevalent I am wondering how this all didn't come to the ears of the press any time in the past 30+ years..seeing as they seem to have managed to nose out so many other private secrets across the years.Also with the methods employed by some in the industry how is it that no one hacked or investigated him if they thought he was so odd? Very easy to point the finger at those who now are questioning what they did know of the man because if it was such a well known secret how come the press never got any idea of what was happening.

Could it just be there was just a different attitude then.After all when I consider what Bill Wyman got up to with equally young girls and was barely mentioned by the press I can only wonder why there wasn't a bigger outcry.:erm:

Because Jimmy Savile was a good litigator, he had good knowledge of the law and he used it for his own ends. Bill Wyman to name just one had young girls throwing themselves at him, in 2010 his old girlfriend admitted they had sex when she was just 14 LINK :shocked:

The difference with Savile and Wyman, Savile went out of his way to land young girls and it would seem also young girls that were paralysed in hospital. We won't go with what he got up to allegedly when he volunteered as a hospital porter. He was one sick expletive. :mad:

I could never understand how he landed a knighthood as he was on a DO NOT ALLOW NEAR CHILDREN ALONE list with the Scout and Guide Movement in the early 80s

Your confused! I watched Have I Got News For You tonight and Paul Merton denied he ever said the things reported to have been said some 12 years ago. I remember seeing Paul Merton saying some quite scathing things about young girls and Jimmy Savile who was on Ian Hislop's team, it went something like this: DEAYTON to SAVILE: You used to be a wrestler didn't you? SAVILLE: I still am. DEAYTON: Are you? SAVILLE: I'm feared in every girls' school in the country. DEAYTON: Yeah, I've heard about that. SAVILLE: What have you heard? Then MERTON let rip with some accusations that can't be shown.

Then we have the NewsNight programme that was shelved in favour of a tribute to the late Jimmy Savile. The material for the programme is based on research gathered by former detective Mark Williams-Thomas who was the adviser to the Newsnight team. The investigation began shortly after Savile died in October 2011. One of his victims agreed to be filmed directly, but the others preferred to remain anonymous. This was never shown Why?

Totally Confused. It may all come out why this pervert was never stopped while he was alive.

And you know this for a fact! HIGNFY S17 e7 It's the kind of thing you witness and never ever forget. Why both Ian Hislop and Paul Merton have said it's a hoax is beyond me but that part transcript I posted IS verbatim. Time will tell as I can't be the only person to view the show. The other nagging fact is Savile was on Mertons team not Hislops and I thought at the time it was a bit OTT

Just keep an open mind it will all come out in the wash.

Why is it beyond you that Merton and Hislop would deny it? Remember Mr Occam ... The simplest solution is usually the right one. They deny it, because it didn't happen. All other solutions require a convoluted explanation as to why they would expect to get away with lying about something that would have occurred before a live audience and would still exist on tape in the BBC archive.

Savile was on HIGNFY in 1999 but the alleged conversation you refer to never took place. The transcript that is doing the rounds on various websites at the moment identifies itself as having happened, but not broadcast. In fact, it never happend at all. It was written by a comedy troupe called "Some of the Corpses Are Amusing" for an April Fool prank that they eventually never pulled.
