The Pars owe £134,000 in unpaid tax arrears and HMRC published a public notice yesterday of the winding-up order they have served on the club.

That means the Fifers have until March 27 to settle their debt.

Dunfermline also understood to owe around £8million to directors past and present and have repeatedly failed to pay their players on time this season.

It was confirmed earlier this month that Jefferies' squad and other staff received just 20 per cent of their wages."

Even if someone can pay HMRC Dunfermline seem to be carrying a lot of debt for a first division club. I think we are getting closer to another liquidation.

It was never likely to be a happy ending as soon as Gavin Masterton got involved. It could be argued that his business practices were responsible for the death of Rangers and the Bank of Scotland. He's had his fingers in quite a few pies that involved David Murray. It's not a link that's too well publicised by the Scottish Media. ;)

Another grim performance from the Scots.

5 games played now and only 2 points on the board.

There are not too many teams in a worse position than Scotland at the moment:

Malta - 0 points (4 games played)
Faroe Islands - 0 points (4 games played)
Andorra - 0 points (4 games played)
San Marino - 0 points (5 games played)
Liechtenstein - 1 point (5 games played)
Kazakhstan - 1 point (5 games played)

Looking at Scotland remaining fixtures, it's really hard to see where further points will come from:

Serbia - Away
Croatia - Away
Belgium - Home
Macedonia - Away
Croatia - Home

Not only are we facing finishing bottom in the group, it's possible we could finish with the least points of any European team in their qualifying section.

It's not going to be long until we are in the same pot as San Marino and the Faroe Islands. Scottish football is dead. A total embarrassment. We've only been able to beat Lithuania and Liechtenstein in just short of 4 years worth of competative qualifiers.

Oops. Looks like the SPL might need to check down the back of the sofa for some loose change if this goes against them.

The Scottish Premier League (SPL) is facing a £1.7m damages claim over its legal bid to stop a pub group screening live matches via a Polish broadcaster.

The SPL secured a court order in 2007 preventing Lisini Pub Management showing games at ex-Celtic star Harry Hood's bar, Angels, in Uddingston.
Tomorrow is D Day for Dunfermline. Can't say I hold out much hope for them.

Personally, not overly concerned. I have always thought clubs should be allowed to go to the wall. Football needs to get their act together. Any other business would have been shut long ago, and better regulated. This has been going on for years.

The only people I feel sorry for is the companies owed money

I think there has been a fair bit of jigger pokery and financial shennanigans over the years in Scottish Football and it's now coming home to roost. The same names keep cropping up as those that had a significant hand in killing Rangers; Murray, Masterton, Stadia and Bank of Scotland. Any other country would have an inquiry into how these individuals and organisations were allowed to operate as they did.

And that's them applying to go into administration.

They can't afford the administrators fees so fans are putting up the cash. Still not guaranteed admin will be accepted, might well be curtains for them.

Dunfermline have applied to be placed in administration, according to the club's honorary director Jim Leishman.
Leishman said that a group of fans will to underwrite the administrators' fees, should the application be successful.
HMRC had served a petition for liquidation at the Court of Session over a tax bill of £134,000, with a deadline of 17:00 GMT on Tuesday.

"PKF's expert trouble-shooter Bryan Jackson has admitted that the Pars situation is the worst he has ever encountered in football.

Dundee were dealt with a 25-point deduction when they entered administration in 2010, while Gretna and Livingston were both relegated two divisions when they suffered similar cash problems.

Jackson has pleaded with SFL chiefs to go easy on Dunfermline, in fear that a harsh punishment could hurt his chances of finding a suitable buyer for the club."

Chance to wrap up the league tomorrow. Need to rely on St Mirren and do the job at Celtic Park too. Could be a great day. Can't wait. London Road you up for this one? Have a great day if you are :)

Looking forward to it. I'm off work on Monday so I hope the Paisley buddies do us a favour as it would be a good weekend to clinch it for me :D

I've only been at Parkhead once when the hoops have clinched the title so it would be a rare one for me.

C'mon the hoops.
