Re: Football Season 2014/15
Well, I cannot believe what a turn around there has been at Stevenage over the last month. 5 wins out of 6 league games has put us right back into the Playoff picture. Hopefully this can continue until the end of the season.
I'd settle for a draw later between City and Arsenal. Don't want either team to get 3 points, but on the one hand I don't want Chelsea winning the title and on the other hand I don't want Tottenham getting Champions League football. So tough. |
Re: Football Season 2014/15
Yes Stevenage has improved massively Mark while my beloved has just two points out of the last 15 sadly.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
YES! Wenger hasnt gone for the square peg round hole role :) I hope the players are ready!!!!

Re: Football Season 2014/15
Twenty years! I was there that night. Funnily enough in the ground I don't think anyone thought it was that huge an event, Gareth Southgate scored in a one all draw. Maybe for those closer to it but I was opposite. Only afterwards was it obvious what a big story it was. We went on to play United at Villa Park in the FA Cup semi final that season and sadly a Palace fan was killed outside the ground.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
Hey Andy, looking forward to Saturday?
Memories of 1976 semi-final, we all know who won the cup that year ;) I miss Malcolm's fedora... |

Re: Football Season 2014/15
I don't understand, we keep being told that players are tired and need a winter break but when city get the opportunity to have a week of they jet of to the desert for a meaningless friendly and to be frank got exactly what they deserved, complete lack of respect shown to one of the championships top clubs by coming back yesterday. Shame Colin and kymmy don't post much anymore, be good to know their thoughts on the debacle

Re: Football Season 2014/15
I actually went to the Spurs game today. And being a Spurs fan for over thirty years, l was totally appalled at the way they played.
They went 1- 0 through a penalty, then just played as though they were going to win. Then plucky City got the goal they thoroughly deserved. And typical of Spurs, they conceded in the last couple of minutes - and then they put Kane on with FIVE minutes to go. It really annoys me that, fans pay an awful lot of money to go to games - where players get thousands of pounds per week - and yet clubs just don't give a damn about the fans, as long as they get money through the turnstiles. I went to the cup game with Sheffield, and they played the same way. Disgraceful. Like some fan said on the way home, If Nicholson was alive today, most of those players, wouldn't be playing, and its just about money. |
Re: Football Season 2014/15
Have to say that the Bradford goals were class.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
I feel that bread and butter clubs, deserves all credit. It also shows major embarrassment to snooty clubs.
It just to show that BIG clubs have little respect for lower league clubs Nice one |

yup chances to kill the game were not taken. also telling that Wenger went back to his square peg round hole out wide game plan although he did stick with the two infront of the CBs.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
In the context of this weekend it was a good result. Managed to prevent a reply or an upset. The results yesterday would have given Brighton a lift I think.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
Well, we're no longer the highest placed team through to the next round, but Brighton are out so swings and roundabouts.
