If you are struggling click the spoiler.

Spoiler:
Oh well if you really have to click it again.
Spoiler:
Are you really not going to try!
Spoiler:
Couldn't believe that I could actually understand what I was reading. The phenomenal power of the human mind, according to a research at cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place.

The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. Amazing huh? Yeah and I always thought spelling was important.

"being left-handed" - gah! I never told daughter that she was, so she never noticed and got on with it :D and did a fine job of it too.
Oh - left-handed text starting from the wrong side of the page, smudged writing because the text was immediatetely scrubbed over? The smart ones learn to write from 'over the top' and then use a PC.
I expect she's just a smart cookie :D

Intriguing. No problems reading it here.

Of course getting all the right letters in the wrong order is one thing but getting the wrong letters in the wrong order is quite another. :)

She is 15, and I'm not sure what testing she has had.

I know she was bullied and got upset, so I gave my aunt to give he a list of famous people with Dyslexia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._with_dyslexia

Good move :)
seen the list before and there are famous actors and others on the list. I'm sure they HAVE to learn lines for a starter. Dyslexia did not stop them dead in their tracks - mebbe it made for a plainer understanding?
School should have dealt with the bullying.
That, life and hormones too, eh? Bless.
I'm sure you're doing your supportive part.

All I can say is thank God I know you are into wrestling. That sentence looks a whole lot more worrying otherwise.

My happy thought? For a small web page at work, I needed a script that when run (every 5 minutes), merges the files then uploads them to a webserver. It was not pretty, had no real ability to interpret the files, but I just needed something quick. It worked, but more due to my luck than any particular finesse involved in coding.

I've just finished V2 of the script. It reads each file in turn, interprets it, then adds it to a merged (and correctly formatted) file that is then uploaded.

I just called the (future) mother in law in SA.

I think she was pleasently surprised to hear from me.

I have set up international faverouites to call SA and speak to Natalies family and Natalie when she's there. £10 for 3,000 mins is great.

Getting brownie points from the mother in law = priceless ;)

Handy tips to maximise enjoyment of your new motor:

Stay away from M6 J16-J17

J9-10a congestion, M6 toll clear

When thirsty, don't buy cherry Powerade at services by mistake

It was a hunch that paid off :) it could easily have been 9 quid down the tube had it been the wrong one which is a place I've been to a few times before in the process of trying to find it. The irony is that it's a very sad story as the poor bloke was born in a grubby Manchester backstreet in Ancoats then died as a result of TB in Walton infirmary just 27 years later.

Many thanks. Sadly I didn't achieve the goal I set and wasn't finished at the time Jo posted. It seems the marathon distance is just too far for my knees to take :(

Still it was finished and now I am back to walking without a limp so there doesn't seem to be any lasting damage :tu:

Well done Derek, it's never worth causing yourself permanent injury so maybe Half Marathons from now on? :)

My Happy Thought is that I am back from hospital and feeling much better. It's surprising what a couple of bags of blood can do for a girl. :D

Thanks Sasha, now I can join in with the family Bank Holiday jollies and stay awake long enough so that I don't beat the youngsters to bed at nights ..... and my reputation with the youngsters is boosted once again as they have decided I am the family Vampire. :D

Yup, got a nice Lindt Bunny lined up. There's nothing like biting into a nice bit of chocolate to to make you smile. Thought I hadn't better say bite a bunny. :D

LOL I feel so well, I know this euphoric feeling won't last much longer but it makes me realise why some people get hooked on drugs. Oh and I think my next forum name is going to be Dotty Plank as I have just been called one and truthfully I think the name fits. :D

Thanks budwieser. I can now admit to being a tad worried the last few days but I'm back in full Pollyanna mode now. :)

As Natalie is going to Africa at 7.30 i'm preparing to 'fly' to South Africa..... From Heatrow to Tambo International (although FSX still lists it as Johannesburg airport)..... Total flight time will be eleven hours https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2011/04/5.gif. Just to be with her in spirit and all. Mind you if I fall asleep my 747 will just keep going I bet https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2011/04/5.gif

Did they let you near an airbridge? ;)

Been to JHB loads of times with BA and KLM and always had to bus it to/from the terminal from about a mile away where they make us foreigners park up.

Hope you've got the flying hat and googles ready for the cross-equator turbulence. Tally Ho!

I think he left. Not sure why. I was away when it happened.

My happy thought: did a bruising 40 mile bike ride in the Yorkshire Dales today. I can't believe some of those gradients...

I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight :)

Use a different pen and font than the tooth fairy and Santa and his helpers do. I was nearly rumbled because of that basic error:D

Is very happy.

Today I got the letter giving me a start date for my 2 month temp job and at £11 per hour I'm very happy (it may go longer but who knows).

I also got a nice 4 figure cheque (out of court settlement) :D
