Ray Stevenson who played the role in Season 1 passed away in May 2023.

The LA fires have affected multiple TV shows, with production being shut down.

Shows include Greys Anatomy, NCIS, SWAT, Hacks, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Doctor Odyssey, Abbott Elementary, All American, and The Pitt.

This list may grow, and atm, its unknown when any of them will resume.

To me it looked like they were setting up a spin off with the women’s team idea at the end of season 3. Whatever they do with it, it has been excellent so far so I’m glad it’s coming back.

A Buffy the Vampire Slayer sequel series is apparently in the works at Hulu.
Sarah Michelle Gellar could reprise her role as Buffy for the series, details are sketchy.

Filming has begun on the Reacher (Neagley) spinoff.
There doesnt seem to be any official title yet, its just known as Neagley for now.

CBS has ordered a spinoff from Blue Bloods, called Boston Blue.

Specifically: The Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

Marvel has ordered a TV special of The Punisher, following on from his re-appearance in Daredevil.

Following the cancellation of two "FBI" spin-off series (Most Wanted & International) a third spin-off is still looking possible, it would be "FBI: CIA".

The original FBI series (currently in Season 7) was renewed for 3 seasons last year (7, 8 & 9). It seems likely it will then end after season 9.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is the title for the latest spin-off from The Big Bang Theory.

It will centre around comic book store owner Stuart, and his his girlfriend Denise.
Also in the series will be two other TBBG characters from Caltech - Bert & Kripke (others may appear).

Netflix has given a series order for a live-action Scooby-Doo series.
Apparently it will "uncover how everyone’s favorite mystery-solving gang, and their beloved dog, first teamed up to crack the haunting case that started it all."

However, it also states it will be a "modern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog".

Sadly, as a comment on the article noted : "modern reimagining" often means "ruined".

Well people moan when they constantly remake stuff with no effort but when writers try to bring something new, people still moan that they changed it.

Before the New Harry Potter series even starts filming HBO have already managed to piss off some of its potential audience with more "inclusion casting" for no obvious reason. Someone called Paapa Essiedu has been cast as Professor Snape.

Well, like his predecessor in the role, he is very active in the RSC (played Hamlet, and other roles), and has a lot of well-praised TV and theatre roles, so perhaps that’s why he’s been cast.

He was good in the Lazarus Project and Gangs of London. I have no issues with a Black Snape tbh I think a start contrast to Alan Rickman is better than a poor substitute. No one will be as good as Rickman was imo RIP

I enjoyed him inThe Lazarus project also.

I think it's the right call, as you say no one can touch Rickmans portrayal. So why not just go off piste and very different. Of course you'll get all the usual cries of woke from certain folk, many of which wouldn't likely watch the show anyway.

They insisted from the start that this would be "a faithful adaptation of the books", and yet before it even kicks off, they have already broken this promise.
Professor Snape is described (in the books) as having "a sallow complexion", i.e. yellowish or pale - clearly not Paapa Essiedu.
So yes, this appears to be inclusion/woke/race-swapping (whatever you want to call it) simply for the sake of it.

Clearly no one could do the character as good as Rickman. Instead of casting someone stereotypically fitting the book description and fear of them just being called a pale imitation or a poor attempt to copy Rickman they just decided after all the screentests he was the best person for the role.

It's not all ticking boxes you know. People are still cast or hired based on ability and fitting the direction the production team want to go.

The Sandman (11 episodes) Season 2 is to be split into two parts.
Part 1 will be released by Netflix on July 3rd, no date for Part 2 atm.

The latest Star Wars animation series has been announced.
Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord will continue the story of Darth Maul, after the Clone Wars.
Season 1 is expected to air in 2026.

CBS has ordered three new shows for the 2025-26 season.

CIA, Starring Tom Ellis - was originally going to be a spin-off of the FBI shows.
DMV, A new comedy based in an American DMV office (Basically the US DVLA).
Einstein, based around the great grandson of Albert Einstein solving police cases.

Planned spin-offs shows from The Equalizer and The Neighborhood have both been dropped.
