We'll have to see how it all pans out Den , frankly I'm not too bothered which broadcaster has what its the price what counts for me and sadly its beginning to get too expensive , I can see myself cancelling all the sport or maybe switching to VM for free BT Sport until the 2015/16 season then assessing my options again should a new deal for BT Sport in XL not be reached.

Indeed while BT Sport is free on Virgin then l will be quite content but if that changes and the odds are that it will in 2015 then l like many will have to consider my options because there is no way l am going to pay a extra £15 to £20 for a extra subscription.

Somebody pointed out earlier in the thread that BT and VM have a 3 year deal for the channels to be in XL, so if anything changes it will not be until summer 2016.

Just watched itv news. The Bt man said there will be a charge to watch CL games. I suggest this will be a separate subscription from the PL games.
This will probably mean a separate agreement with VM.
The final will be fta and a few group games along the way.
We will wait and see in18 months. Won't worry till then.

That was me, but then somebody else trumped it with the suggestion that BT could launch another channel outside of the Virgin agreement.

And for all we know there could be a clause in the current contract that allows for this.

Yeah VM seem to get caught out with new channels being launched that weren't
negotiated as a possablity when they do the deal.

Does the agreement with VM finish at the end of the 2015/2016 season? Is that when BT PL rights run out?
TBH BT would have been better going for the Saturday teatime slot.
