Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8

Country file on the BBC has become so infantile, inane, PC and stuffed with strange women presenters, most of whom seemed to have escaped from CBBC's it's just not worth watching. We only put it on to get the weeks weather. So BBC, down to one program worth watching. A pointless channel from a pointless broadcaster. :(

And you want £145 a year for this crap?

Thanks weenie. One thing I haven't mentioned, one of my relatives passed away last week after a short battle with cancer. I am trying to book the week of the funeral off as holiday, hopefully work will be understanding about it.

Cancer is truly a horrid illness Mark and I'm sure your work will be understanding after all just about everyone has experience of some kind with it sadly.

My Mum is now at stage 4 with the NHL and unfortunately my Mum is in quite a bit of pain with the other cancer she has which is Myeloma. I have been caring for my parents doing hospital visits, meetings with the OT, nurses, cleaning their house etc so that is the reason I am not on the CF much lately.

Thanks TD it is hard at times and trying to explain to Dad what is happening is not nice at all he is 79 my Mum is 82 and while he fully understands what is happening he forgets some things so I have to explain the test results etc all over again with is upsetting for all concerned.

Mmm. I like it . It's worth the licence fee on its own. If they could axe crap like top gear, eastenders, strictly (and the like), property programmes, I'd gladly pay double ;)

Sadly it very easy for some to knock the BBC as its a easy target nowadays and much of it is unjustified as they do some fine stuff IMO and are well worth the licence fee.

Unfortunately they have also removed some excellent stuff. I am thinking particularly of the traffic information. It was easy to access and the AA's information is not a patch on it for ease of use.

Just been to the supermarket and got held up for quite some time behind two customers, the first of whom was having a big problem trying to use some store vouchers which wouldn't scan properly. The woman behind him kept tutting away and looking at her watch then, when it was her turn to pay, she spent ages trying to find her purse, her loyalty card, the right cash... Grrrrr... lol
