The interesting question is who will pick up the tab for the UK's missing contribution?

If the EU are determined to keep us out at all costs,EU contributions will have to be increased or spending will have to be reduced or both.

We get a deal like Norway's and it'll be us making up the shortfall

I wonder if Obama's proud of his intervention and threat to the UK. If he really wanted the UK to stay in, his gamble spectacularly misfired IMHO.

If some of Farage's comments were seen as unhelpful to the Leave campaign, the sight of the drug crazed bob geldork calling fishermen w**kers and making obscene gestures wasn't Remain's finest hour.

Obama's not a shining example of a president, I can't see the history books being kind to him. We should take about as much notice of what America think we should do, as they would of us, if the situation was reserved.

That theory is going to be tested. Politicians have a mandate to leave the EU but how is now their decision. It will take some courage to risk imposing WTO tariffs on everything to avoid going into the EEA.

I don't think it mattered, I don't think Remain's economy arguments cut though at all. As I said a few weeks ago the polling showed most people thought they would do the same or better following a Leave vote.

Domestically he did very well, better than almost anyone else, with handling the 2008 crisis. The interventions he made, especially in manufacturing, helped their economy recover faster and better than anyone expected. He got Healthcare reform passed which many Presidents had tired to do but failed. The biggest regret will be the 2010 midterms which really limited him from then on in. Still he got a Supreme Court justice passed.

Good, once invoked it's irreversible... Rules out a second referendum. They will want to send out a message to any other "member states" thinking about referendum. An also why should the EU be left with the state of instability whilst we decide when we wish to leave. Get the process started!

No 75% of those 18-24 year olds WHO VOTED voted in. Not 75% of all 18-24 year olds. The turn out in the age group is appearing to be very very low!
