Don't think he'd last long as a subcontractor like myself. I have to sit there and take all the sh and brickbats that come my way and patiently explain to the client why it can't actually be done the way they think it can and why the way I'm proposing is the better solution.

I'll put the phone down and then explode.

Even then they may demand it's done their way. The only satisfaction I get from that is when it fails and they then have to pay again to do it my way.

Yes tact and diplomacy is required at times as one should never go into situations like a bull at a gate as that usually backfires IMO.

Might not have for much longer, after the way I yelled at my manager today I'm expecting a disciplinary hearing for it.

Please be careful Mark in how you speak to your manager as they could report you for feeling threatened in their working environment. Feeling threatened includes verbal abuse. I know you say it's only yelling but it could be classed as verbal abuse as your manager could say that they felt feelings of fear, intimidation and stress while you were shouting at her (I assume it is the same manager that you yelled at) what I'm saying Mark is be careful as you really do not want anything on your work record that could be related to bullying.

Employers have a responsibility to their employees to make sure that they feel safe at work that includes both you and management. IMO someone shouting at his/her manager could be seen as threatening behaviour that's just my opinion.

Honestly Mark please try and count to 10, then take a deep breath and if that does not work just walk away rather than put yourself in that position again, that's what I would do.

Sitting in a freezing cold office because of a gas leak, and my company says keep working as there is no legal minimum temperature, just a recommended limit.

I had a radiator but that was knicked to put in the spray shop to keep the temperature above the minimum temperature to spray.

They say the sending out of PIP claim forms to people would be done randomly but myself and many of the disabled people l know all received our forms near enough at the same time.

Yes l will let you know dilli and if you require information don't hesitate in contacting me through the usual channels.:)

My wife wanted to put some more money into premium bonds. What a disaster! You have to have an account now so I proceeded to setup the account with her watching. I then proceed to login. Sorry you have typed the password wrong. No I haven't so try again, same result. You now get told to download a form, fill it in and send it off.
