To enjoy the NHL you really need HD and Premier Sports cannot offer this yet!.
I do miss Hockey Night in Canada and watching my Bruins play. I will have to make do with clips on the Internet.

I posted this in the other thread to rumours of a channel launching this week and as it is about Premier Sport i'll post here.

It's from this fella https://twitter.com/jamesgordon67

@Paul_Vikings trying to find out when something "official" is coming out. Believe that XL TV customers will start receiving Fri channel 551

I just cannot understand why official sources are so tight lipped. It's really infuriating! What difference does it make if we know about channel launches in advance?

Probably because they will not want egg on their face if for technical or other reasons it does not launch. You can imagine the furor on here and their official web site.

Great to see the Ice Hockey on VM. The picture quality is better than I was expecting after some of the comments, obviously it would be better to watch the NHL in HD.

Nice to see more positive sports news. Is this just for the RLWC?

No, it'll be available in all packs until the end of the year. It will become a standalone subscription channel in 2014, but the exact details have yet to be announced.
