I found these art revisions very amusing. Works of Art? I don't know but if they make someone curious enough to look up the original painting then that's OK with me. Anything that can awaken an interest in the Arts has to be a good thing IMHO.

Now if they featured a fat dog I may have had another opinion. :)

Cats rule OK. :D

I'm sorry but I cannot like them.If people want to paint their animals then do so but in their own style.Leave the classic artists alone. It smacks of a lack of respect..and a lack of originality.Any fool can photoshop..and frequently do.

They're working on it:

Favero added that, having found the second image back in 2008, they then wanted to know who the man was.

"We're still working on answering that question," she said.

Not a great exhibit if you've had a few and need the toilet  but otherwise it's pretty cool

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happening

Quote:

A happening is a performance, event, or situation meant to be considered art, usually as performance art. The term was first used by Allan Kaprow during the 1950s to describe a range of art-related event or multiple events
.

It's a hangover from the 50/60s art scene.

Interesting, not that I know much about art, but never heard that term before, thanks.
