Sorry I couldn't resist. Think I can wait a few days even a couple of weeks for an 8 fold increase on the original 512k I started off on with no price increase along the way. In fact 4meg will do me quite nicely thank you.

:welcome: to the forum enjoy your stay :)

The ntlworld site states it will be done by the "end" of June... think you guys might be jumping the gun!

I was foolishly hopefull when last night my connection was playing up after 3 tests I was getting 987kbps, 559kbps & 670kbps so I thought "whooo upgrading"
But this morning service is back to the 2mb normal.

More than likely they have just changed the tier upgrade screen, but they have still yet to roll out the upgrades. Patience is a virtue. It will probably be more hassle than it's worth if the 10mb upgrades are anything to go by!

Nope nothing in HG1, NOT that I was expecting it :-P

I think some people are thinking its as simple as some fella flicking a big 'upgrade' switch that sorts everyone out at once. haha..

Come on stop expecting it to happen straight away. NTL have said the upgrades will be completed by the end of June. So stop worrying and just relax. You will get the upgrade eventually.

I can see the point in you all getting upset if it was the start of July and no one was upgraded yet but its not so calm down.

Does anyone else think there is a connection between the planned upgrades and the large explosion i heard last night :ninja:maybe its completely overloaded the network.

well it's good news that we are getting upgraded for free but once again NTL just can't seem to handle this properly

some communication on where this will be happening in each region would be nice plus details on whether we have to reboot our STB or cable modem

it's great that they are rolling this out but it's still done in a slap dash fashion and we have to check ourselves to see if we are upgraded rather then them telling us which isn't right.. what about all the people who don't even know about this forum and other sites like this

I think you should be more concerned about more important aspects of this upgrade - ie. what infrastructure investment is being done in order to make it work.

I have to say that I do actually agree with this statement, although I have to admit the reason they (NTL) have most probably kept it all rather hush is to avoid a HUGE onslaught of phone calls asking when its all happening.
