Is this true? Are people on lower tiers being upgraded today as well as 3Mb users? |

What you have just done is upgraded to the higher tier for a higher price. |

Please can someone corroborate this is correct? I am at work and can't check. If it is correct then i shall ask for a month free or will be calling retentions to cancel. Please don't flame me either, i believe this to be morally right, you do what you have to do, and i will deal with it my way. |

so these changes... I'm prepared to wait... but do NTL send a signal to my router and automatically update my speed or do I have to restart my modem (I never switch it off)

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
i understand why people feel robbed on the 3 meg service as we were always told we would recieve the upgrade first when all the lower tiers can upgrade through the websie.

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
I'm sick to the back teeth of people defending NTL on this.
1) They publicly announce that they were going to upgrade speeds. No one forced them to announce this they chose to themselves. 2) They appear to have conducted trials randomly - adding to the hype and uncertainty. 3) They've made no effort to communicate their plans to their customers. This IS important - because customers could be basing their choice to stay with NTL based on the future promise of these speeds. 4) It would appear they've also made no effort to keep employees infomed. 5) The end result of the above is customers being provided with incorrect information by NTL (yet again). Might i remind the NTL defenders that we've been in this position before over previous upgrades and they don't appear to have learned the basic lessons. Communication with customers is essential. I have no problem with all the people on here bitching about upgrades not happening....for the simple fact that NTL could have prevented the bitching if they'd chosen to communicate properly. |
Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
To be fair ntl never directly told us that, it was a 'source' that told cableforum that, maybe their source wasn't very reliable, or maybe they deliberately made up a story to keep them off their backs. :D

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
when it comes to automatic updates NTL was quite correct 3Mb users will be upgraded first
But They Neglected To Mention That Anybody Below 3Mb can update through the website If That's Going To Be The Case Shouldn't It Be Available To Everybody? |
