Well that saves me asking. Thanks :D

Series Links now called Series Link+.
My Shows shows VOD content as well as recordings
Pictures when you go into the VOD menus.
The little TiVo man logo on the Home screen has been replaced by the word "TiVO".

If you really don't have the software, drop me a PM with your account or box number, and I'll investigate

Thx SP, i've just had a look, and yes it's definitely been upgraded, I think the pictures on the VOD look pretty good actually, kind of similar to what Netflix does.

Also got the update recently. I see they haven't added the Keep Until I Delete option in the default new series link settings.

I know it's a bone of contention with some members here but I'd like this added to avoid shows being deleted before I watch them. It's not too much to ask is it, most other significant options are there so why not KUID? Looks like I still have to go to that extra page every time I set a new series link.

Apart from that, the box feels quicker, not that it was that slow before. It remains to be seen if it's just the reboot that has sped it up though. On Demand looks good and it might have just convinced me to try it more often. I'm glad the Dolby through Optical output issue has been fixed, only took 13 months.

It wouldn't stop them being deleted. See previous discussions on the subject.

Anyone lost all the graphics this evening. Just text in the boxes at the top and in discovery just empty boxes. No channel icons. It actually means the UI is fast for once. Stupid because you cannot see what you are doing but fast. Missing icons for programs etc.

It is fantastic. I can move about the menus consistently with practically no delays at all. Press play from MyShows and it starts within 4 seconds!!!!!! Hasn't been this quick since pulled out the coax cable. Whatever they have broken, I hope they take their usual time and don't try and fix it for at least a year. Who needs pretty pictures when the UI performs. Well ok some screens are just full of empty boxes with no text but I don't care for those screens anyway. I checked the status page and there are numerous TV faults showing as usual but nothing that covers this.

During the hour it says it takes to delete 'Suggestions', can you still use the box?

Re: Major TiVo Update

I`ve read through all this and not seen anyone else have the same problem I have had that CS have blamed on the update.
Sunday night I received an email thanking me for adding to my package. When I looked through the email, I apparently had added Baby tv to the package. I rang them up, telling them I hadnt added anything and asked when and how this was supposed to have been added.
They said it had been added through the tivo box, sometime on Sunday, they couldnt give me an exact time. I told them I hadnt added it or anything and they were adamant that me or somebody in the house had done it. After telling them that I live on my own and had had no visitors that day and not even had the tv on. I`d been listening to the charity shield on the radio and didnt turn the tv on until about 7pm, they told me that they would take the Baby tv off the package as "A once only" and if it happened again I`d be stuck with it for a month.
As I got nowhere with the CS guy on Sunday night I rang the retentions people Monday morning and after they had checked it out, they said it was a glitch that had happened through the update. They also told me that if it did happen again I was to ring them and not CS and they would remove it, as they could see from my account that I had never added anything unless I had rang them to do it.

Why would you want to delete your suggestions, Richard? Just ignore them. You don't need to open the folder if they are of no interest to you.

Predictable after going in and out of standby, the graphics returned along with the usual appallingly dire performance.

Yep a reboot always speeds the box up.
1 week later back to clunky and slow.

I don't want to, but it's the only hope that I have in speeding the box up.

Maybe VM removing the fancy graphics permanently would be a good idea to speed the thing up?
