Thanks for that, it's not one of the numbers I've blocked.

Why would you rather pay £200 for a box which you have to pay for to get repaired and get no supprt after 12 months - rather than have it replaced foc with lifetime support if it goes wrong and still have the option to upgrade later?

Hi, just got off the phone to CS, they confirmed current subscribers on XL tv will be £149 plus £40 install charge. Didn't have any more info on roll out, all he said was it wasn't launching until 2011, and it will be a staged roll out, with roll out not completing until end of 2011!

The trouble is, you can't rely on any imformation given out by CS --- not even on current products, never mind 'coming soon' ones.

They will have a lot more information available to them than is on the website to anyone else they just have to look.

The pricing is correct that has been quoted. More pricing will be released very soon. i.e VIP etc.

Re: TiVo

I loved my old TiVo, out of use just over a year since V+ installed (same day of the press-release announcing Virgin-TiVo tie-up!), and have coax to take the signal from lounge to kitchen. (I don't need different programs in the two rooms, just the same signal to both.)

Old setup: Virgin Pace box > TiVo > Scart to TV in lounge
---------------------------------> RF coax to kitchen

Current setup: V+ > HDMI to TV in lounge
------------------> VCR scart > RF modulator > RF coax to kitchen

It looks like this should still work, exchanging V+ for new Virgin TiVo, or does anyone know better?

Derek

I doubt the 0800 number you stated will be the number that those that pre-register get called from, thats an outbound CLID for the Swansea office.

Seeing as Swansea is in Wales that does not surprise me ;) Am guessing it was probably someone from Staff Accounts as they are also based at the Swansea site.

Staff accounts are in Swansea. Have you given out that number? :shocked:

I think it's a CLI dummy number anyway, like the Liverpool faults one ;)
