Interesting.

Several cargo planes have been grounded at separate US airports as authorities investigate suspicious packages, the Transportation Security Administration has said.

An unconfirmed report by CNN said that a bomb had been discovered on a UPS flight to Chicago from Yemen when it was stopped in London.
How regular are cargo flights and their routes? I assume you can't get a GPS signal without an external antennae but if their approach takes them over populated areas and a certain time it could be an easy way to cause mass casualties.

Yeah I've been hearing eveything from it being a suspected bomb to it being a printer cartridge.
That is my local airport and I often see the UPS planes coming in.

Let's hope this reminds everyone not to reduce the security at airports.

The annoying thing is that that kept saying toner ink:rolleyes:.

Toner is a powder, NOT an ink.

Why go to the bother of spending billions on design when they can just use spies to get technology a few years old at a fraction of the cost?

Re: Plane Spotters Corner

Because in the end they get it wrong and end up with an inferiour product as they don't have the initial testing..

May I remind you of Concordski in Paris ;)
