It is simplar to the NBC Peacock situation.
Paramount+ in US have a massive collection of good stuff and lots of live sport.
UK have miminal content.

I'm the opposite. Ignoring their patchy film selection, the size and quality of their original drama content is very impressive, with shows like Yellowstone, Lioness, Tulsa King, 1883, 1923, Mayor of Kingstown, Frasier, Rabbit Hole, Halo etc, along with all the SHOWTIME shows like Fellow Travellers, Yellowjackets, Your Honour, Dexter, Billions, A Gentleman in Moscow etc, it's by far my most watched streaming service.

So the top tier for Paramount+ is offering 3 months at half price - or an annual payment at half price (£48.99).

4K/HDR works fine on 360.

Yes, this could see all HBO shows being pulled from Sky Atlantic and shown only on the Max streamer. However, there may be a negotiation to be had about whether SA can continue to broadcast these shows, at least while the other existing Sky channels still exist.

The model Sky has been relying on very successfully for the last 30 odd years is now beginning to fall apart, and so there is a lot of work for them yet to do to ensure damage limitation. The original output of Sky Studios and the continuing premier football offering will be crucial to the success of the solution Sky come up with. The days of new film releases on Sky Cinema channels are coming to an end as the streamers soak up everything that’s going, so Sky Cinema will be left only with archive films for their subscribers.

Sky has a difficult hole to be filled, it seems to me, but I’m not giving up on them yet.

Re: Streaming services news, offers and general chit chat

Only more recent HBO premieres will still be on Sky non exclusively into 2027 or 2028 or later which was already the case, they have the rights to future series of 'existing franchises'' on Sky Atlantic non exclusively.

The broader range of WBD content - HBO, Max Originals and other series will be exclusive to Max.

Sky Cinema will still have Comcast’s Universal first pay window exclusively in the UK aswell as Sony although they could always be outbid for the latter.

Other 3rd party deals expected to be announced in the coming weeks and months

Sky didn't mention Sky Comedy at all so I suspect it will close when most of US content moves to Max including Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.

Eddie Hearn will bankrupt them. The crown will foolishly follow suit. I reckon those books of Dazn are down due to these two lining their own pockets. Nice circle they are creating where money comes back to them. Otherwise known as an orgy. Unless Saud pulls out so to speak.

Good find, Media Boy. ;)

That will cover 2025's losses. Maybe they will acquire it outright and it will become Saudi Arabia's answer to beIN Sport?

I will be keeping my fingers crossed a platform built for 60hz TV will work correctly with 50hz TV, especially sport.
Its not too long ago Sky Sports on Now TV was a stutter fest, they finally make it a very good service and now abandon a platform that a lot of money must have been sunk into to make it a very good service.
As someone who is lucky enough to use Peacock I would say that Now's interface is superior, lets hope that's the only thing better on the Now service.

Frame rate matching was added to Sky Showtime app in Europe a few months ago so I suspect the new Now app will be capable of that.

Apple give them away for all sorts of things.
I got the 3 month offer with a SIM from ID last week.
Unlikely to take it up as you always have to remember to cancel.

It's 3 months free when signing up to Currys Perks which doesn't cost anything.

The £5 per month Barclays Blue Rewards includes Apple TV+ and MLS season pass.
