Mourinho criticising Dowd for getting a decision right because he was too far away and should have given it wrong...He makes himself look quite stupid sometimes.

It was a great result for Kane, and Spurs. What always annoys me about Chelsea, is the way Mourinho complains at officials when the decision goes against him.
It proved today that Mourinho complains about things that goes against his players, what about the nasty fould Cahill does against Kane on the floor. Cahill, should have walked for the 'sticking the boot in' on Kane's back |

Can't say I blame him. I think had Liverpool not let the title slip last season he would have retired during the Summer.

BREAKING NEWS, STOP WHAT YOUR DOING.
STEVEN GERRARD TO QUIT FOOTBALL AT THE END OF THE SEASON. I mean the news is goin over the top, he's just a footballer. |

I must admit I detest Liverpool but, even despite the wankfest on ssnhq(hd!), he deserves to leave that club on a high.

Barkley will go to a big club but surely he is not that stupid to go to Man City as he will never play there.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
Barkley has soo much more potential than Rodwell SD

Re: Football Season 2014/15
He'll do better if he goes to a place where he'll play. No point warming the bench for City.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
Listening to Robbie Savage is like listening to the village idiot of pundits.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
Quite. Still, could have ended up with Michael Owen and using Ian Wright and Peter Taylor was really good so I'm quite happy with how BT handled that.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
Never rated Savage as a player, and will never rate him as a pundit.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
Looking forward to Henry on Sky. Since they fired Keys and Grey the punditry on Sky has improved so much.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
SkySports wont do the team any wrong letting Dwight Yorke go.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
I disagree Damien, I think the punditry apart from Gary Neville has got worse. Miss Andy on commentary, Alan Smith is a poor replacement.
|
Re: Football Season 2014/15
I would rather listen to Jonathan Pierce in all the games. I used to watch live games, with JP on the radio.
The commentators on Sky and BT are Crap and are biased. Watching the games today, the commentators predicted who they wanted to win - the underdog, were beaten before they had kicked off. |

Apparently Ched Evans has been given a 2.5 year contract with Oldham. No idea how true this is, only saw it as Katie Hopkins has been mouthing off on Twitter saying good for Oldham, and getting a load of abuse from people for it.
---------- Post added at 12:42 ---------- Previous post was at 12:40 ---------- Ah, found an article. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...mpaigners.html Be interesting to see if Ashley pulls the Sports Direct funding from the club, or if not whether that sparks a protest from Newcastle fans. |
Re: Football Season 2014/15
United have signed Victor Valdes on a 1.5 year deal.
Not a bad deal for us, not least because it means he won't be going to Liverpool :) |
Re: Football Season 2014/15
Still cannot understand why Oldham are getting involved until or unless Ched Evans has won his appeal review but if he did do so they would not be able to afford him. Rumoured that his girlfriends father who is a millionaire and a friend of Simon Corney, the owner of Oldham Athletic is going to pay his wages and possibly even make up some of the sponsorship shortfall. Not sure he would match the Sports direct money but he could possibly cover the other two.
If he does eventually get cleared it will look like a great piece of business but at the moment it is rather stupid IMHO. |
Re: Football Season 2014/15
His father in law has denied that he's doing that. The reason Oldham want him is because he's better than League One and they wouldn't be able to get under normal circumstances.
I'm not making any comment about the rights or wrongs of it, mainly because I'm still not sure myself where I stand, but I am genuinely staggered that a club like Oldham can afford to lose the sponsorship it stands to lose by signing him. |

I just can't get my head around a keeper with his success and experience and clearly still with something to offer being happy to take a contract that gets him sitting out games most of the time. Valdes turning up won't make him force a move but turning down an offer of being the no. 1 choice in goal for a bigger and currently better team (plus most likely a bigger pay packet) is a tough sell. |

Re: Football Season 2014/15
Yes, 4 wins out of 5 apparently. I hope this is not a short term improvement, but the start of a long run which sees us getting automatic promotion back to League 1.

Re: Football Season 2014/15
Not sure about it being a fantastic result for football, it was that bad I nearly left at half time.
Both teams where very poor, only a single shot on target the whole game. It was as bad as anything Moyes served up for sure.:( |

Tadic after he scored, he took his shirt off and lowered his shorts (you could see his knickers) to show off his six pack. For a moment I thought he will pull the lot down...

I can't say I'm convinced about Sunderland signing Defoe. It's an awful lot of money, and the way Sunderland are currently set up means he'll either be playing on his own, which he can't, or they'll be going to two up front, which I'm not sure they have the players for. I think it's a desperate move personally, and one which will backfire financially, but me Gran's Sunderland so I'm hoping I'm wrong.
