I had a leaflet through from Sky on Saturday trying to get Virgin customers to switch. It outlined the differences between Virgin, BT and Sky, including BT Sport, Sky HD+ box, Sky Go, etc. and their Virgin or BT equivalents.

The only thing on the leaflet that Sky offered that Virgin didn't have was Sky Atlantic, so they are definitely still pushing its excusivity. Hopefully this is a final push before they begin wholesaling it to Virgin.

Yes, I received that as well. I think the leaflet must have been printed some weeks ago now, they are just using them all up.

I am not concerned about this. Sky Atlantic is coming and I can't wait...

I think Bio will be axe to make way For Lifetime so that Lifetime can use Bio channel numbers.

On Sky Bio have got an 2 hour an day channel called Bio +1 so I also think Lifetime HD will launch on that channel number on Sky.

Keep your eye out for it arriving on Now TV which should be soon , it may then be more likely to be wholesaled.

That's the thing. There is absolutely nothing to suggest it is coming. At all.

However when it doesn't arrive people will be angry and annoyed at Virgin Media's communications and working practices.

I am with you sir but looks like a few CF regulars look like they are "in the know" or happy with information they have received from their own trusted sources, as I respect their postings so I guess there must be some legs on these rumours.

All the winking on here recently suggests people know something is happening behind the scenes at Virgin in terms of new channel additions.

Base on that poster on DS Forum the next new channel addition will be - FOX + on Virgin Channel 199.*

*No launch date has been confirm but we may also see Baby TV moving to Virgin Media packages.

Already been through this one, you can already access Atlantic without a Sky sub through Sky Go (which you can buy without a sub). People won't buy Now TV for one channel because it's likely the cost will be between £9.99 and £15!

I wasn't suggesting anyone joined Now TV for one channel (Sky Atlantic) , my point was that when Atlantic is made available on Now TV Sky may be more open to wholesaling it on other platforms , as far as I'm aware Atlantic will be available with the other Sky TV entertainment channels for around £9.99 the cheapest Sky Go package without TV is more expensive at £15 and only available on the TV through an Xbox.

well i have had my free sky package now for 3 days and after a shaky start the service i have recieved from sky as been nothing short of incredible i now have thanks to the complaints dept free sports and movies in hd for the next 12 months also.i really do have the best of both worlds now !!!!

Bromley was the head headends for old Telewest areas but since NGTV launch on Virign Media back in 2010 it has become an local headend for viewers in that part of England.

If I remember correctly, Knowsley was actually the super headend for Telewest. Bromley was one of the super headends on NTL for the legacy C&W network.

My insiders has just confirmed that NO NEW Channels are set to launch this week.

But I was told on August 28th that some of the UPC Ireland HD Channels may launch 'In the next few weeks'.

Rumours say Virgin are test Five Channels out right now - but only Sky Sports News HD and Disney Channel HD has been confirmed by names on tests.

The other three channels test is still not known as Asian Channel has not posted an update on this rumour since last week.

Rumour: New Music and Movies channel set to launch???

I have been told tonight by an Virgin Viewer has found '2 distinct channel gaps', one being beside all the Music Channels and the other one being beside all the Movies Channels.

This viewer thinks that MTV Classic and True Movies 2 or MGM HD is set to launch.

More when I get it.

Was thinking the same about the SmartCall product but that's not here yet either. Dunno what has taken VM so long with their android app but it must be just around the corner now.

Whilst talking about the Sports channels, can someone explain how SKY number them? In the Radio Times, there are 2 channel numbers on Virgin, say 511 and 517 for SS1. Yet there is only 1 channel number for SKY, 501 for example. So is that channel in HD, or what?

Can't wait to see if there are any new channels tomorrow. Does it matter if I have my router turned off overnight?

Impressive but;

History and History +1 already are launched
MGM HD will very likely be a premium channel included in the Sky Movies Bundle, much like it is on Sky (also available seperatly) so will very likely appear after the Sky Movies HD channels.
If Universal HD does come it will very likely come with E! HD but a poster shunned the launch with an email from Universal saying it won't be arriving.
You missed heavily rumoured MTV Classic.

As i correctly predicted 3 new on demand services have launched - kind of.

3 Music On Demand slates have appeared on channel 301 vm takeover , 304 vm urban and 306 - vm rocks.

RTE Radio is on 917

Do any1 know if World Radio Network on 920 is new cant remmber seeing that channel :confused:
