Re: What are you watching right now?

I've been binging on The Agency recently.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Nothing of any interest to me on the terrestrial channels, so I have been bingeing on The Punisher series on Disney+.

By accident, I found a French sci-fi series that is basically Captain America, but this time in France during WW1, Les Sentinels. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10094546/?ref_=fn_t_1

Re: What are you watching right now?

The Punisher is part of an overlapping series of Marvel characters called the Defenders, originally commissioned by Netflix about 10 years ago. Look out also for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil and Iron Fist. There is also a one-off season actually called The Defenders featuring all of them.

If you want to see the broader story unfold in the correct order you have to know what order the different seasons were originally dropped … helpfully we have an internet for that:

https://www.comicbasics.com/marvels-...s-watch-order/

I’ve not checked but I believe all of these transferred to Disney+ at the same time and should all still be there.

Re: What are you watching right now?

I've watched all those, and I'm waiting for the next lot of Daredevil. :)

Re: What are you watching right now?

WW2 with Tom Hanks has been very informative. The programme is full of interesting facts that I had never heard before.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Yeah, I want to get around to watching that, 20 episodes though, quite a lot.

Re: What are you watching right now?

It has held my attention, especially after skipping the long intro. It does bounce back and forth in time, but so many things were happening at the same time, so it was an unnecessary editing decision.

Re: What are you watching right now?

You should have a go at The World at War, that has 26.:D

It’s still epically good, and benefits from on-camera interviews with people who were there. The only facet of the story that’s missing is the details of how the codebreaking was done, because that was still classified until the late 1980s, and even after that many of the people involved took years to be persuaded to actually talk about it.

You can find it to stream for free on on U and Channel 4. I watched it all late last year. Highly recommended. :tu:

Going through M*A*S*H on our V6, all 252 or so episodes. Should take a while.

Re: What are you watching right now?

M*A*S*H, brilliant
Cheers tweetiepooh, you've now probably given me the subject for a Youtube viewing marathon later tonight. Cracking stuff :tu:

Re: What are you watching right now?

I'm giving Black Doves a go, but it's not grabbing me.

Re: What are you watching right now?

I quite enjoyed it, when I thought I probably would not.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Saved a few episodes of season 7 of Skinwalker Ranch to binge on. Really enjoy the sensationalism but do think there's something strange going on there.

Re: What are you watching right now?

I'm getting into it with episodes 2-3.

Re: What are you watching right now?

I'm giving Blindspot a go, there are 100 episodes and it looks like something I maybe able to binge on after seeing the first 20mins.

---------- Post added at 22:20 ---------- Previous post was at 21:24 ----------

Now I'm hooked after 2 episodes.

Re: What are you watching right now?

The first Season of Blindspot was good, it went downhill after that, I stopped watching it midway through season 2.

I just watched episode 2 of Stuart fails to save the universe, another unexpected guest star. :D

Re: What are you watching right now?

No Glastonbury this year so it's Calvin Harris on bbc one.

Re: What are you watching right now?

We were out in Glasgow this afternoon and couldn’t understand why Buchanan Street and every posh cocktail bar was full of women dressed like they were on their way to a nightclub. Then remembered this was on at Hampden tonight. :D

Re: What are you watching right now?

I've watched the first season of The Sentinels (Les Sentinelles). I hope it has a second season.

It's basically a French Captain America during WW1. The subtitles were often totally different from what was said in French, making my eyes/ears interface jar a bit from time to time.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Spiderman at the cinema last night. Best Marvel film in quite some time. And the on-screen chemistry between Mr & Mrs Holland is just lovely to see.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Breaking Bad has appeared from behind paywalls after 15 years. It's on Virgin Ultra HD and very watchable. But where are the subtitles?

Re: What are you watching right now?

Space balls.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Reacher, Season 4 Episodes 1-3.

Some good lines - cop ragging on Reacher calling him "HoboCop" and "Sherlock Homeless"… :D

Re: What are you watching right now?

The final episode of The Punisher series 2.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Loved that he showed up again in Daredevil Born again, and of course in the new Spider Man, in which they dealt with his potty mouth really very well. :D

Re: What are you watching right now?

3 lads wearing balaclavas were riding the same eBike back and forth. Then I heard a loud crash and squeals. Poor buggers.

Re: What are you watching right now?

I'm recording Breaking Bad for a binge session in the future.

Apart from that, there is almost nothing on the "free" channels except bits of Gardeners World and Casualty (Happy 40th!).

So I have been trawling through Disney+ and have discovered the series of Tracker and also The Old Man.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Just finished watching Operation Mincemeat at the Leeds Grand Theatre - very funny musical with some very appropriate pathos.

Strongly recommend it.
