Farage's senile mate continues to amusingly put his foot in it. :D

Quote:

Trump pointed to Zelenskyy and asked if reporters had any questions for “President Putin” before appearing to catch the error and insist he wanted to relay the inquiries when he spoke to the Russian president later in the day.

Trump also referred to the “Islamic Republic of Iran” as the “Islamic Republic of Japan” when speaking about an attack by Iran on a U.S. aircraft carrier.

He also mispronounced the app “Tik Tok” as “tic tac,” telling reporters, “You know who’s number one on tic tac? I am. I’m number one on Tik Tok and all I talk about is how bad communism is.”

The gaffes come amid persistent questions about the president’s health and mental state, as he often rambles in speeches, has seemingly dozed off in public on multiple occasions and has been seen with bruises on his hands and swollen ankles during his second term.

Hypocrite. I feared his finger pointing would backfire. Such is life. Never go after somebody, keep your hands to yourself!

With age comes Wisdom . . sometimes quickly followed by Dementia.

It now seems to be the norm in American politics

Pavel Durov, the founder and chief executive of the encrypted messaging app Telegram, has been charged with aiding terrorism by Russia's security agency.

This guy can't win. He was arrested in France some years ago for not allowing authorities access for evidence on telegram. Now he's been done for essentially crying for Ukraine. Horrible place to be between a rock and a hard place :(

From that link above . .

The FSB accused Telegram of failing to remove "numerous channels, chats and bots" which are "actively used by Ukrainian intelligence agencies, terrorist, and extremist organisations to prepare and coordinate acts of sabotage and terrorism, mass murder, and cyberfraud" in Russia.
Of course, quite obviously the Russians have never, ever, done the same sort of thing, quite probably using the same platform.

Oh yes, quite ;)

Then the war could possibly be fought in court, with absolute minimal casualties and damage to civilians getting on with life. The winner would be whoever gets the conviction first :D

He makes a platform which allows secure messaging; he isn't facilitating anything beyond that. Telegram is actually very popular in Russia for their own citizens to communicate for obvious reasons and I suspect that is what they're really upset about.

Well, he lives in Dubai, which doesn’t have extradition treaties with Russia or Ukraine, but I would imagine he’s currently making sure he doesn’t have any ex-Spesnatz in his security team…
