Any decent honest person simply calls the sender and explains they have received 2 items but they only ordered/paid for 1 item. The sender will then clarify whether or not you got one pair free, or how you should return the second pair that were sent to you mistakenly.

WOW, Just wow!!!! Although such comments are worth book marking for next time forum users get a little too judgemental. Now to see how many remainers advocate stealing compared to brexiteers

Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem per se with Christmas. What REALLY gets my goat is the fact that the true meaning of Christmas is long forgotten. I remember a time when it was about FAMILY, where the thought counted and not how much debt we could run up each year on credit cards to give children a Christmas they pay for throughout the following year.

It's far too commercial nowadays, it's all about money money money. What about the real meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus? I'm a very poor Catholic, but it saddens me to see that religion plays a lesser role with each passing year. Maybe at the age of 32 I am turning into an old Scrooge, but I just feel sad each year when it is all about money.

Why are the extra benefits for pensioners never uprated. I am thinking of the £10 Xmas bonus and the Winter Fuel Allowance which steadily get eroded by inflation.

My poor Japanese banana palm has been badly singed by the frost last Thursday that caught me unawares. Only -3C but it's so tender. I'll have to assess the damage, trim back the affected fronds and then get the horticultral fleece wrapped round it. I think the main stems are still OK.

Yep, we've had visible frost on a number of mornings but the air temperature has been above zero. Just that night it plunged. Supposed to warm up this week.

People on facebook who post maths questions stating only genius's can answer

EG

they say 5 + 2 x 10 = 25, well I was taught that answer is 70.

They go by bodmas, but the way I was taught you only 25 if the 2 x 10 where in "()".

No wonder people struggle with maths. I think bodmas should be banned in schools.

Precedence of operators. If you're going to do any programming it's vital. Write that in a C statement and the computers answer will be 25.
