Why is it when I do a speedtest in IE the ping is 10ms but if I do the test in Google chrome this ping is 19ms ?

Speedtest.net Namesco: Firefox - 36ms Chrome - 20ms Opera - 18ms IE10 - 16ms Obviously these are difficult to be 100% sure on, because my ping's all over the place anyway. Pinging the same server on the command line gives the following results: Code:

I get good speeds 99.9% of the time, but the upstream utilisation in this area is ruining pings. Hopefully the 120mbit upgrade in the next month will fix it. I'll not bother holding my breath though. |
Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Im on Sky, thats the difference, to be honest, thats the highest jitter I have actually seen from my connection (1ms) it is usually non existant

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Ah, so you are. It's pretty impressive. If I could've gotten FTTC I would have. :(
It'll roll out here eventually, I guess. I doubt VM will have fixed their network by then, so they better enjoy my money while it lasts. |
