Hey i have just noticed this reply from virgin on twitter in regards to living hd launch :

virginmedia: @Sharpy55 Shouldn't be long at all - they are almost ready. You can be sure it'll be on VM first :)

so by this they are not waiting for sky ?

and also have to say very good news about top gear going to be shown in hd .

ESPN seemingly have the best games there, I may well watch them both.

Yes Bravo and the living channels now have an extra way of accessing the on Demand sections through the Red button and not just the On Demand menu.

Nope only sky as it has the biggest customer base, that is why channel wilkl not go exculsive to virgin etc, i know itv done it but that was a agreemetn with freesat so they could gain some numbers. if a channel wants to launcht they need ot be on sky for advertising reasons.

livign wont launch on freesat or freeview it ecrpted channel

I take your point about Living not launching on FreeSat or FreeView, I guess I was thinking of Virgin1.

I don't take your point about Sky though ...

... and that would seem to support my theory.

There must be a more fundamental reason for the delayed launch. It could be technical, it could be advertising contracts but we don't like to speculate in this thread.

Soon come, man! Soon come!

I don't suppose that there is a placeholder channel on Sky yet? Not that we down to earth (or under the earth) cable folk care what goes on in orbit! :p:

I really must get a V+ box, even if I don't get a HD TV just yet.

I heard a rumour that VM are bringing out some deal next month which is going to blow sky out of the water. Has anyone else heard this?
