Page One: Inside the New York Times.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1787777/

A documentary about the New York Times where they had behind the scenes access to the paper. It covers the paper but it mostly focuses on their ability to stay alive, not to go under, and if the 'old' forms of journalism can survive in the digital age. People get laid off, the paper clearly has serious challenges, they look for salvation with the paywall and the iPad. It's about how the newspaper industry is trying to survive in the face of people expecting free content and what may happen if we lost professional, paid, journalists.

They have interviews with the editor, the staff, people from their internet rivals, the founder the wikipedia (and Wikileaks, during the year was the release of the WikiLeaks papers).

I won't give it a rating but I would recommend the film, especially if your interested in the future of newspapers and/or news. It's on Netflix.

LA Confidential (BD)

Perfection. 10/10

Every time I watch this, I am reminded how much I hate Titanic.
