Some potentially good stuff from Netflix in the next month or so with The Defenders, Death Note, Mindhunter, Disjointed (doesn't sound my my kinda thing but Kathy Bates is in it so worth a try). Narcos is back with a new season in a couple of weeks and Stranger Things next month.

And don't forget Star Trek Discovery next month either.

Sky Atlantic will be offered to VM at a reasonable price once Game of Thrones ends next year!

Could be onto something here as Sky Atlantics other big hitter show Ray Donovan also ends after this season.

Also it's rumoured Netflix will have season 4 of Gotham the day after it airs in the US as CH5 have dropped it.

That's interesting! as I dropped Gotham from the list of series I watched after season 2 when it was already getting seriously dumb!

Looks like Netflix picking axed shows up is becoming a strategy, they did the same with Suits after Dave dropped it

Yes, they need to be careful that they don't de-value their product.

I don't think it's really one or the other though is it?

As long as the picked up shows aren't in place of anything Netflix would have done anyway, I don't see it being a problem?

And as long as they replace those stupid alien conspiracy 'documentaries' then it's not a bad thing!

If Netflix are showing season 4 of Gotham, it looks like the only way to watch season 3 is on DVD/Blu Ray which are released later this month.
I must say I have not seen anything from Channel 5 to say they have dropped it, but everything is pointing that way.

Those dates are very interesting, Season 3 DVD release only a few days before Netflix stream it. Bold move and will surely hit sales

Absolutely bound to as most people buy their DVD's based on what they have usually seen beforehand and liked Joe.

This is true yes it's a grey area on how i watch content but if i enjoyed a movie i watched on kodi then i normally end up buying that movie on dvd/blu ray legally.
So in a way kodi could actually be helping the movies/tv industry as a few movies i've enjoyed via kodi and ended up buying i probably wouldn't of thought of watching via legal means so i wouldn't of bought them
A few i know operate this way too.

Agreed; the point I was making was that they need to choose carefully with de-commissioned series because they may be taking on some dead ducks. There are some very good series which have benefited through Netflix resurrecting them (eg Ripper Street) whereas others may have been better leaving alone.
