Re: What have you just bought?

I purchased on line a pair of 27" leg trousers but when they arrived they measured 28", I phone company and requested a full refund of the cost of the trousers plus post, their reply was they would only refund the trousers but not the cost of post which was £3.5. I quoted the sale of goods act that the it should as described 27" leg and fit for purpose. They reluctantly said they also refund the postage.

They have lost a customer

Carolina Reapers from Tesco. Supplied by the same guy that brought us the Komodo Dragon. Genovese from Bedford.

They look nothing like Carolina Reapers, smell nothing like them, don't have the sweet taste. and certainly are not the Guinness world's hottest chilli.

I've just let the "inventor" of the Carolina Reaper know about this, he's one of my many Chilli-growing Facebook friends.

Let me see.......
new PC for the front office/reception (existing one is 10 yo!)
new battery for my watch (died with no warning after only 6 months)
new HP printer for home (the 4th in about 10 years!)
new adaptor lead for one of my Iomega Boxee PVRs (a result as I thought it was the HDD failing)
a webcam (which turned up faulty so I have to send it back)

In the good old days the thrushes around here used to control them pretty well but I can't remember when I last saw a thrush sadly.
