I wish it was possible to get live readings for gas as well, maybe it will be added to the mini sometime in the future

Online site is functioning as normal with just the additional live usage figure for electricity having been added.

Checked my friends then rang home to look on line  seems to be fine . However her standing order hadn't changed since it last went up , Jan 24 ?

You don't get free daily coffee and occasionally a donut doing it that way though, you also don't get smart tariffs. ;)

If all works perfectly then it's great, but if it doesn't then it's not, but that can happen to old meters too, like Paul has experienced.

Unlikely to get live readings with Gas as they work differently as the readings are always atleast 24hrs behind.

A nice drop in Tracker Electricity prices in my area tomorrow, from 20.23p to 12.73p, I think that is the biggest step drop I've seen since joining back in April.

Next door had a boiler tech out as their boiler kept on tripping off. Tests showed that the flow from the meter was far too low. A gas guy came out and did his checks and ordered a new smart meter which he fitted a couple of hours later. The internal valve had "partially stuck". Still no contact to upload or download readings, and the internal display is intermittent.

After reading your post I've just learnt that someone with Medium Gas pressure cannot have a Smart Meter installed but someone with Low pressure can, no idea why, I've no idea how to find out what pressure mine is.

"The majority of gas supplies are low pressure (LP). A relatively small number of supplies are medium pressure (MP).

Most medium pressure supplies have a yellow or orange Emergency Control Valve (ECV) handle that indicates if a site is medium pressure. A red ECV indicates low pressure."

Well that is what you can get from having a smart meter and so far it has saved money over a month.

It's something about that particular day. Maybe because the weather is changing. On agile you are getting paid to use electricity in the early afternoon.

This won't be a long term thing.

Still cheaper for me to be on Tracker some days, yesterday Tracker was 15p cheaper compared to Agile.

My average unit rate across a month is around 19p.

Which of course requires a company competant enough to turn up and install one when they say they will. Octopus have failed that test. :td:

We got something in the mail again the other day --- 5 years later about them putting this IN MORE HOUSES but it stilll says you can opt out and have a conventional meter installed and I hope my dad will listen to me and ask for a conventional meter...... I dont mind paying someone 14p to keep reading the meter..... Its worth it not having that stuff here!!

I have heard not good stuff about it and I really dont want it here..... May cause more AM radio interference,etc........... (I have enough interference as it is)

There is nothing wrong with smart meters. How many times. The things you think are not usually true. Especially AM radio interference.
