I don't think they've done anything other than upscale it at the moment.

However, it would only be 720p HD rather than 1080p HD, the latter has only just started being rolled out at the end of last year.

Here is the link I posted on this thread on 28th January about devices supporting 1080p iPlayer.https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/help/q...s/1080-streams

Only Humax-manufactured TV360 and their mini boxes are supported on Virgin Media. Spiderplant corrected me regarding identifying the relevant model numbers given.

I've tried the Firestick Max this morning too - the only Firestick which currently does HDR with the iPlayer (unless the others were eventually fixed).
But those two remain SD quality when left to build up.
It may be upscaled but the quality is way down compared to the other channels.

HGL says "We are exploring our options to remain on Virgin due to the high costs involved and if we can, we will."

748. Create & Craft (May close on February 25th).

Some creative thinking needed to cut costs. Maybe craft a new deal.....

Not quite. It launched on TSID 512 SID 1210. Which would, indeed, be C 75 is you are using digitalbitrate. Also the video & audio streams linked to the BBC RB HD service on TS 23 have been removed. It's meaningless to use the Cxxx numbers on digitalbitrate as they are only valid for Manchester networks.

That would be a sad loss. At this rate, there will be nothing of interest at all to watch from the EPG, and rather more quickly than anticipated.

I agree. With most of the quality content, from the previous satellite or cable only channels, all moving into paid streaming services, all that will be left on the epg will be the terrestrial free to air channels. Virgin should embrace this new era and work with all the app providers and give us access to all the streaming content based within your subscription.

Wouldn't be that surprising

Syfy in other counties like the US , France , Germany have aired recently

Chucky
Resident Alien
SurrealEstate
Day Of The Dead

The first 2 Sky put on Sky Max , SurrealEstate hasn't turned up , Sky acquired Day Of The Dead back in September and still haven't aired it yet.

Movies24 goes up to end of 4th March now (updated daily) , Syfy still only goes to 5am on 1st of March.

Sky UK Ltd runs Syfy for both UK and Germany for Comcast.

Seems that VirginMedia is the only UK platform offering Eurosport 4K in HDR. Sky only have it in SDR.

Yes Sky UK run the UK channel but I don't think they run the Germany channel

As you can see it still has proper website unlike the UK.

Oh god, not another rumour of a TV channel closing just because listings haven't been updated.

Following that logic, all of the MTV channels should have shut down at the end of 2021 when their listings stopped being updated on their website.
