And as VM has always done (and still do): Connect your computer direct to the modem with an ethernet cable.

It's not as if the Superhub 1 did VM any favours when it comes to wireless performance.

Not through choice. They are legally obligated to allow customers to use their own CPE.

It's often cheaper to use your own kit as US providers have started whacking up the 'rental fee' on kit they provide.

So, VM would claim they charge no rental fee for the equipment - just for the right to use your tier with they equipment they have lent you.

That's where it rests and VM have absolutely no need to consider further allowing user modem CPE, Indeed their support model, for what it is, depends on that.
