I am assuming that this will be on VM, as, AFAIK, they are the only UK cable company with VOD.

That would be cable in the US, not the UK

The article was on a UK show- Show Me The Money (a business programme for 'bosses and entrepreneurs' on News 24), but they didn't actually say which country they were referring to.

Thanks to HD Boy/Martine for providing this link to confirm that it is a USA venture as Ben said: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/odd/news...ines-busy.html

Programmes will be shot especially from the dogs' point of view eg the colours will be changed to match a dogs' vision. Specially written dog friendly music will also be used!

It finished an hour ago, so should soon be on the i-player if anyone's interested (it's approx 0.08:50 into the programme.)

How would VOD work? I could understand a linear channel that can be left on when you go to work, but VOD would mean the canine would have to use the remote to select a programme to watch.

Whilst I don't doubt they could select a programme, without opposable thumbs using the remote would be difficult, unless there was some kind of Kinect for Dogs.

It appears that DSO is causing problems for dog owners.

The Dogs Trust were on 'This Morning' last September, saying that some dogs were refusing to go for a walk as they wanted to carry on watching the television instead! They went on to say that this was actually contributing to rising obesity levels in dogs

Apparently, dogs couldn't really see analogue pictures very well, because "analogue is simply a fast moving series of still images. All that the dogs could see was a flickering image- so they much prefer digital."

1) Don't believe it - there is no change to how a TV displays a channel (unless you are talking about HD), just how the channel is transmitted and decoded

2) What has this got to do with 'Coming soon to Virgin TV' ?
