I have looked and the OTA download is less than 300MB but the FW from the link i posted is over 700MB, does this mean the OTA DL is JB or just an ICS Update?

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3

The OTA IS JB. I installed it yesterday.

It even tells you its Jelly Bean before you download it.

OTA updates are always smaller as it will only contain the updated system files. Where as the full file downlaod will probably contain the full OS.

Mine popped up a window telling me about the update and the size and a few of the new features when I went in to SW update on the phone.

I bet thats why you got a pop up box. I really want to update to JB but i dont want to loose my Sky Go ether. I wish i knew how long it would be before Sky Go comes out for JB then i know if its worth updating or not

nstokes 03-11-2012 10:13

My phone keeps trying to auto download the update. When its on wifi it starts downloading and so far i have seen it in time to stop it. On 3G it trys it but says needs wifi. Why is it trying to auto update?

Well yesterday morning my S3 died.

It keeps restarting, get the Samsung logo and then it reboots. Not sure what's happened.

Need to get an official rom and try to flash it.

Tried to do that but the hard reset menu doesn't come up either. Phone just restarts again.

Need to find the official uk JB rom.
