So has the red button launched then or are we just going to get limited crap all the time? Will we get Match choice of all the premier league matches to choose from?

the Red Button was made for cricket (er red, round)

yippee - can't wait

hope it's also on Sky News - we need plenty of extra info/views/stats/repeats/slowmo shots on the event of the decade the following day

bet that's why it's been timed for launch then :-)

In other words we get the red button that will lack in content and will probably have pixelated streams like BBC News Multiscreen

Unkown as yet although i believe at launch red button will only carry certain events with more to follow later.

As for the streams i have not seen anything on it as yet we will know more when there is a stream to watch Matt.

On Sky when it goes to choosing your match the streams are currently only SD.

Although I do believe Mersey70 had said Sky were looking at HD feeds for next season.

I think it has been said match choice was part of the deal for Red Button but when that wil appear is anybodys guess without confirmation by VM, which of course has officially so far not been very forthcoming on the subject.:(

Great news!

Just been on the sky sports website the match on the 28th pakistan v west indies is showing on sky sports 2 not on the Red Button.:confused:

Unless you mean just the stats for that match.

People

The red button on Sky Sports is an interactive service. It will only appear when content is available during live events (match choice etc).

That is all

Appreciate the info mate. Can I ask why, if the red button service has actually "gone live", nothing has been said on the VM Press Release Webpage?

l have suspected for some time that all we will get is a third rate red button and it might not be even that.at times Virgin are amateurish compared to Sky professional approach.

Nothing surprises me at all with Virgin.

Not even sure if it has actually launched yet denphone as Mobes pointed out vm have not put out a press release to confirm it.

The BBC News Multiscreen is only the same as what it is on Sky. You can't really go stating that it's gonna be all pixellated etc. when nobody has seen it yet. VM will most likely be taking the feed from satellite so will be getting exactly the same picture quality as someone on Sky. All will be revealed on the 28th.
