.

The rumour was partly fuelled by the BBC web site news report on the announcement of the trial, that said that Netflix may be included in some bundles.

How true their information was, who knows?

Clue: An acceptable answer is 'next Tuesday' or even 'next week' but this continual vagueness is not acceptable and is why you're getting so much flak.

Put up (provenance), or shut up.

That's far too simplistic, Justa. You know very well that dates are only pencilled in and these dates can change. There is the most recent example of Fox + that proves this point.

If you want specific dates, you will rarely get them because VM keep changing them and hardly ever confirm anything until they are actually on your screen.

Do you know if Sky are still offering 50% off for 12 months? I have Googled but can only find 6 months.

Getting the full TV package for around £33/month is very appealing when I pay the best part of £26 just for SD Sky Sports. Best of both worlds then, TiVo & all HD channels on offer in the UK :)

XL must be getting new channels or their would be no point in having XL pack.

XL is changing to vms version of Skys HD pack but with bt sport added also some goodies will be added to XL one rumoured is a movie chanel which could very well mean Netflix.

Their latest offer for 50% off via Money Supermaket ended on the 17th October. Should be back on during the first 2 weeks of December, if you can wait.

Sky's bottom line is increasingly coming under pressure and thus this will continue unabated due to BT going one on one for future sports rights thus pushing up the prices paid and this is forcing Sky to wholesale more of their channels to try to maintain profits and that's why a deal with Virgin has been signed and we will see the arrival of the other channels soon enough.

Well, we are agreed on that! Of course there might be a joint promotion by Sky and Virgin, but somehow I think Sky will want to keep it low key. Same as BT all over again.

Yes, and if they come during this month, we will all be very happy! I agree that autumn is as close as we can get to a launch date, but as we have seen with Fox +, even dead certainties can end up being delayed inexplicably.

I feel that VM would be best adding linear channels in XL, such as the elusive Sky channels. Netflix feels a little niche?

If ur a none virgin media customer a s4 is 34pm if u are and get virgin media service you get 5 off pm but no further offers if uve been a virgin mobile over six years.

So anyone could get the same deal im offered straight away with media services of 29pm

Ive seen far cheaper with cashback at 21.97pm.....so ill be suprised if the iphone will be cheaper than other providers as they have better buying power lower tariff rates.

Well, even Media Boy is having to resort to telling us that he knows something but he's been told not to reveal it.

The vast majority of stuff on here is rumours and conjecture. This is why your response to my post is so strange.

I do know that the missing Sky channels are coming, actually. The proof will be in the pudding. But you will just have to wait and see. And then, no doubt, you will put it down to a lucky guess.

H'mmm, like the BT Sports channels and ESPN.

The new DNP order is just some wee bit of info.

Nothing like 30 new channels set to launch.

-Bio may move to an new broadcasting stream when Lifetime launches.
-Lifetime +1 or Lifetime HD may also launch.

to be fair MB, whoever it is who is telling you this has been quite wrong;

2 weeks ago they said 'No new channels to launch this week' and we got Premier Sports

Same last week and we got Fox+

The online Sky Guide shows "Programmes no longer available" on Bio after the Lifetime launch, although DigiGuide continues to list a single daily episode of "Pawn Stars" between 11am and noon. Perhaps Bio is being retained as a place-holder channel on Sky.

Confirmed: No more Sky Channels confirmed as set to launch on Virgin Media.

Virgin Insiders has tonight given me an update list of channels confirmed as set to launch on Virgin Media by 2014. Still no new Sky Channels on the list.

We all have to remember that if these Sky channels are to launch, nobody will tell anyone until the day they go live, much like BT, everything will be very hush hush.

however it would be interesting to see the take up of Now TV Entertainment, if it doesn't make it Skys worthwhile then we are more likely to see Atlantic.

yes of course they not announce anything to after launch as VM always do like I said before BT and VM needed the deal for BT sports sky don't need to do a deal that's the big difference and only place SA will go is now tv

I think that's most peoples complaints about this thread. Everyone builds up expectation and then it turns into belief that it going to happen with no firm proof. No confirmed channel launches, it's morphs into fact as 'everything will be hush hush' Nothing said - it must be happening. (I'll be the first to publicly apologise on here should anything arrive.)

Nothing but nothing can be relied upon or taken as gospel due to 'insiders' proven by the point further up of previous 'no channel launches' immediately followed by PS and Fox+. If there are 'insiders' providing information, then judging by those very examples, they are no more in the know than anyone on here or indeed the general public at large.

I still think SA and the other missing channels are a good way off since the NowTV expansion has been announced. I personally think that Sky would be crazy to give this anything less than 12 months and then see how the land lies. They can see their subscriptions will start to slow down and this is a way to boost their numbers and presence. It's certainly not a short term gamble.

As people have said, Sky doesn't need VM as much as VM needs Sky and with Skys quarterly profits round about 60% more than VMs, subs increase per 1/4 around 4 times as many, I can't see this changing anytime soon

Two weeks ago PS was confirmed later then the weekly Monday updates.

I did not ask any insiders last week.

Sky Atlantic obviously - it's the only new channel with content unavailable on VM! The rest are just variants of existing ones!

Atlantic, I'm not majorly bothered about it, but it would mean there isn't any content being withheld from Virgin.

Newsroom is a great show and I would love to not have legally**** find it online.
