They are not Sky Channels if Virgin was testing them Virgin will put them beside Sky Movies Classic HD.

I think they will be any of the following:

PBS UK (Launching in November so maybe Virgin have put an channel set aside for channel launch)
ESPN America HD
Disney XD HD
Disney HD
Sony TV UK
Sony TV UK +1
Zing

I really, really hope so! It's not often I rant like a mad man about a channel coming soon but this for me is a big one.

Also great news about SKY Movies Classics HD. Looks like October is going to be a great month. If SKY anytime arrives in the next 35 days then I'll hug the first Virgin employee I see when I'm out and about. I often see the "Van Morrison" and "Van Helsing" vehicles where I live just outside Edinburgh. If you drive these vans, be prepared to receive a man hug!

Box nation is pretty decent PQ for an SD channel , only really boxing fanatics who'll pay when it goes to 10.00 a month but at least those who want it will have the option, that was always my gripe with ESPNA HD even though I understand it's not a channel the masses watch.

In all honesty you're getting the same responses over there as you are here. And it is posters like you that will stop me from coming back again and again.

I've not been on here in a while because I was starting to get frustrated talking about stuff that never happens. Seriously why keep harping on about everything and repeating yourself to the point that it annoys everyone. Get the message!!! I am sure MB has better things to do that keep answering your questions, especially when he has already answered them a million times before. When they launch, they launch, just enjoy your TV service or switch to the competitor.

TBH my contract is up in March, if more hasn't arrived and the EPG and TiVo bugs haven't been fixed then I will most likely switch back to sky. I really like Virgin. What they do they do really well. but certain things like the lack of Atlantic, extra HD channels (Sky Sports 3/4 HD) and the red button debacle are starting to annoy me.

I'm not blaming Virgin for it at all, but it doesn't stop the fact that sky have them and Virgin don't. I haven't a problem with Virgin, but there will come a point when I will have to decide what I want to do. Do I want to further wait, in the hope that either Sky will back down or Virgin put up what it takes to get these things I would like or I change providers and get them anyway. I would prefer to stay, which is Why I am still waiting buy hey things change.

sky are not with holding Universal HD,Disney HD,DisneyXD HD,Disney Cinematic HD,ITV2,3,4 and the CBS channels.
Wish people would stop blaming sky for everything and sky atlantic is not being withheld,Just that vm will not pay what they want for it and if you contact the other channels providers i mentioned above they are all pretty much saying the same thing.:erm:

Virgin Media are currently in talks to get Sky Atlantic and confirmed by Media Boy insiders and hopefully it comes to Virgin Media soon but unlikely.

Sky Atlantic will be available to VM customers whenever VM bite the bullet and pay for it, it is not being withheld - VM say it's too expensive, Sky say VM want it on the cheap, believe which side you will.

It is a very frustrating situation for those who are unable to jump over to the competitors to see such brilliant television beig denied us. It is a gaping hole in VM's service and one they need to get sorted.

As for the UKTV channels - personally I couldn't be less enthused by them, they're simply coming to VM because they're cheap.

I subscribe to Sky movies and buy blu rays, rent the odd movie from Qriocity and go to the cinema. But I still download the odd movie to watch it early and some TV episodes, I downloaded Game of Thrones cause VM haven't got Sky Atlantic.

They had press releases in march 2010 about HD channels lauching in april 2010 when not everybody would get the HD channels in april. NGTV rollout was completed until the end May 2010

Checked both my Tivo's one says that Deman is unavailable and the other connects fine but just sees the usual Sky Living in the Anytime folder.

Sounds more like CS just telling customers what they want to hear.

Correct :D just giving an idea , on Sky you have showcase which the majority is in HD and updated daily , then you have the anytime+ with movies , box sets etc although I will say VM has far more choice when it comes to box sets something I wouldn't have thought. Sky movie subscribers will have a massive choice of films and there's quite a bit of content from the Sky Sports.
