Deal with Disney includes TV, online and mobile TV rights

This is the first deal of its kind for Virgin Media, and means customers will soon be able to watch Disney content wherever they are; in their home or on the move.

The deal includes the addition of the recently launched Disney XD channel, TV on demand content including HD programming, as well as rights for a wide range of Disney shows to be made available online and via the mobile screen.

Rats Media Boy! You have foiled me again!

I had hoped to get the news on here first as I had a Tweet on my mobile an hour and a half ago but I've been on the 'phone since. I have a different URL http://pressoffice.virginmedia.com/p...849&highlight= but the same content.

Will kids seriously be watching Disney TV on their Pre-Pay Virgin Mobiles?

ITV are only going to axe ITV2 +1 on Freeview (in England and Wales) but ITV2 +1 will stay on Sky, Freesat from Sky & FreeSat.

Ofcom, Compettion COmssion, EU loads of places if they did that they are monopolise the market so they can make sure they ahve all cuotmer on there platform which will be stopped straight away if htey did it, but red button up until now was seen as just niche thing for odd game but sky are using it now for CL and other things isntead of makign mroe channels

The red button on sky sports has long since ceased to be a "niche" product, and i thought in the pay tv review ofcom were going to require sky to make it available? Also my argument would be virgin customers pay the same for sky sports as sky customers do, so for the same money we should get the same content simple really, and ofcom the eu or whoever else should require sky to supply that content to all. There really is no excuse other then sky running rings around the regulators.:(

Thanks for that ben very interesting,:)

Looks like ofcom do indeed recognise at least in preliminary findings that the red button content should be available, lets just hope ofcom do not fall asleep on the job.;)

And after the 3rd phase of the pay tv review ofcom are able to implement it immediately or within a few months, allowing sky to appeal afterwards, otherwise i suspect we are in for the long haul.

They can appeal but i think the appeal process will be 3 months so if all goes well and we dnt havea general election before march 2010 we should then have all teh sky stuff
