It was the glasses that did it. I agree that VR is doomed for the same reason.

Holographic images I think will succeed where 3D failed, provided that you don't need glasses!

Edited as a bit harsh: I agree with you on 3D completely but imo and this is just my opinion based on what i saw at EGX i think VR is here to stay.

I'm not sure how that would work. VR works because the equipment isolates the user from the actual reality. Holograms within the living room might not be too convincing, although a holographic tiger jumping over an actual coffee table would be interesting...

Cable.co.uk: World Darts Championship to be shown on dedicated Sky Sports Darts channel

This years Sky Sports Darts HD Channel will be on from Dec. 14th to Jan. 3rd on Virgin UK Channel 508.

SD Channel is on Virgin UK Channel 518.

Also on Virgin Ireland SD Channel 406 / Virgin Ireland HD Channel 436.

Sky darts ? What channel will this take over? I think the entire sky sports naming thing is utter pish. The amount of filler on each channel is incredible. F1 channel is now repeating old documentaries for the next 5 months. Sky cricket doesn’t really have much cricket since sky lost the rights... why even have a channel on cricket then it didn’t even show county cricket? There are 6 england tests a year sky have exclusive rights to. Ridiculous
