So just because you lot haven't had bad experiences with NTL, you think others shouldn't complain about it? Kindly remind yourselves how this site came in to being.....

Re: [Merged] Manchester Proxies.

I had a bad experience that left me with no BB for over 2 months, but CS and TS were good and i was not charged for those months and indeed had a free month.

I am not saying don't complain but surely the complaints and niggles should be constructive. It appears that a lot of complaints are voiced here and not with NTL themselves, and people tar everyone (CS & TS) with the same brush. Additionally shouldn't we praise good service and staff too?

BTW I have nothing to do with NTL, other than being a customer, but I have been very fortunate in having less trouble with NTL than when I subscribed to BT and SKY.

No offence was meant and hopefully none taken.

OK explain to me this. Why should I call CS/TS on an 0845 number to tell NTL their proxies are shafted? Yes I bitch on here because I won't pay for the privelage of debugging NTL's network for them. The proxies caused problems in the past hence why they where switched off. NTL knows this and yet still switched the proxies back on.

The above said I have 'tried' emailing NTL about the issues and pretty much as I expected got a totally useless almost unrelated response from them. I replied saying as much and received no further contact.

phoning c/s is free... if you complain about a technical issue, they will transfer you to t/s anyway... and that will be free too.

If you ring the CS number and click on the option for Broadband faults it automatically transfers you to tech support

Debsy is right about that you dial 151 then press the option, as said before if you have problems ring.

Remember if you ring it it may get sorted, its not the proxies its the load balancing software wccp (as told to me by TS).

The proxies you can check by specifying one
