You could try moving it closer to the meters.

You can also check your data is getting sent properly via https://www.octopriceuk.app/tracker you will need to add your post code and customer API key. You can then check your data from the hamburger menu under 'data checker'

It'll look something like this, I do have 3 30min segments of missing data from the 11th but from experience when they do the bill it'll be normal again, but if your data shows as N/A you may have an issue.

They do say it takes days for all the steps to work properly, my elecy was instant but my gas meter took 24hrs before that got commissioned, and it's display changed.

The hid seems to be on some separate system. The Octopus site gets the data one or two days after and all that is fine but my HID still shows nothing - and yes it it near the meter.

The IHD is irrelevant really you don't need it and all it does is connect to your meters to show the readings, similarly to the Home Mini which I recommend signing up for then you get more info in the Octopus app on your usage.

Re: Smart Meter, Yae or Nae?

With the SVT Cap prices being reduced from 1st July it brings the until price extremely close to the Tracker daily prices so I'm going to have to keep an eye on this.

Does anyone know if Octopus bring out a better Tracker Tariff whether us on an older Tracker are able to switch onto it?

No idea, but they failed to turn up on Thursday to install mine.
Still waiting for them to fix the fracked up meter readings as well.

Not impressed with Octopus so far.

It's going to get extremely complicated if they haven't fixed the meter readings when they do turnup for the install.

Still nothing on the electric meter in either IHD or app.
Octopus support have gone silent

Like Paul so far I’m unimpressed

I got my Octopus Home Mini on Saturday and it's up and running. Has anyone tried switching off Bluetooth and relying just on the wifi connection to keep their mobile app updating readings on their phone?

I read you only need Bluetooth on for the setup, you can also ditch the IHD too if you want.

Neither device is needed but I find the Home Mini to be more useful.

I never even thought about keeping both devices and I have now turned off the Bluetooth. So I'll see how the readings look tomorrow. Clears SnoopZ. :tu:

What I was once told is if you can or cannot see your readings is irrelevant. It's if your supplier can or not see it and to use your account online to do check that

Read my meters yesterday it was a terrible strain, took all of 3 seconds. Adjusted figures of course, to take account of the cheaper rates coming in . If these 'smart' meters could do that, I'm in ;)

Just checked the Octopus mini app and, without Bluetooth enabled, all the reading are still showing.

I wish it was possible to get live readings for gas as well, maybe it will be added to the mini sometime in the future

Online site is functioning as normal with just the additional live usage figure for electricity having been added.
