For the most part I've been really pleased with the update, the functionality improvements are very welcome and the box is generally a lot quicker.

But when it does go slow, it's bad. But 343 series links can't be helping..if that's the cause, then I can accept that.

Would you both mind contributing to this poll?

We need another option on side or streaming and not streaming that would help

It is possible to change the series links to show recordings only as opposed to recordings & streaming.

I get what you mean but like movies sports having a streaming option so only steaming is in the folder

Did anyone try renaming a wish list and report back if the new name appears straight away in MyShows?

It's under investigation, but at the moment here is no solution beyond clearing your thumb ratings.

I had a purge on the thumbs the other day, yes it does seem a bit quicker thanks.

Its not great though is it... I mean thumbs was supposed to be a core feature of TiVO but using it slows the box down soo much, I am really thinking of a streaming solution now.

Virgin Media aren't exactly doing themselves any favors and giving warm fuzzy feelings though are they. Look at all the people ****ed off about losing the blue button, on the other forums as well as the very slow performance! After previous issues with standby recording broken, deleted recordings, lost dolby digital, on demand that hardly ever works, new bugs with series links+ etc. Why would people want to be patient for another 12 months or more only to invest even more money on something else that will most likely be as "equally managed" as the current one? Especially as there are so many more modern alternatives available now.

Home -> Help & Settings -> Clear or Reset TiVo -> Clear Thumb Ratings & Suggestions -> (PIN) -> Thumbs down x 3 -> LastCh

Well, there's a limit to what you can achieve with outdated technology. Remember, it was a damned good box compared to Sky's when it first came out.

The new box, hopefully, will mop up the problems that we are experiencing now.

What are your first impressions, Martin? What is the visual appearance like? I hear it's now picture based rather than text based.
